Do you play any old-fashioned games that your parents or your grandparents played while they were young?
When I was a boy, my family would sometimes gather together at my great aunt's tiny house over the summer. 1 from all over the country would come to visit.
The adults would 2 together in the living room, around the kitchen table and on the front porch (门廊) to share each other's3, including happiness and sadness. And all of us kids would be 4 onto the front yard to play.
Those were the days before video games and smart phones, 5 we often ended up playing a good old-fashioned game of tag (捉人). I remember one of those times 6.
I was the youngest and 7 of all the kids there, so I got caught first. Even worse, I couldn't catch 8 else. Although I tried my best to chase after my brothers and cousins, they were all too fast for me. I grew more and more 9.
I finally rushed to one of my brothers and 10 face-first into the dirt. I got up with tears in my eyes. Then I saw one of my cousins standing there. She started to run but was going much slower than before. I 11 caught up and tagged her. Then she turned to me, smiled and said, "I'm it! You'd better run!" I ran off 12.
With glee(欢喜) while she turned and started to chase 13 older brother.
I see now 14 her act of kindness that day saved me from sadness and returned me to joy. It didn't matter that we hardly ever saw each other. We were family 15 great love. We are all one, we all belong to each other and we are one big, beautiful family.

①One day Becky went shopping. She stopped to look at some dresses. Becky saw a lovely dress with different coloured stripes (条纹) like a rainbow. It was just what she wanted. Becky had enough money so she decided to buy it. When she touched the dress, Becky felt a strange feeling of excitement as if there was something very special about it.
②Becky hurried home and tried the dress on. As she did so she felt very odd. She started to float in the air and fly like a bird! The dress was magic!
③She flew up and up and up high in the sky. She flew high above the clouds. When she looked down, everything looked smaller—the cars looked like beetles and the people looked as small as ants! Her house looked like a little box!
④Becky flew over the sea. She waved to the people on boats below. They were very surprised! She waved to the whales. They blew water into the air at her. She waved to the dolphins. They jumped out of the water when they saw her.
⑤Becky flew over the jungle. She waved to the tigers. They growled at her. She waved to the elephants. They lifted their trunks and trumpeted at her. She waved to the monkeys. They threw bananas at her.
⑥Becky flew over the desert. It was very hot. She waved to the camels. She waved to the snakes. She waved to people in tents in the oasis.
⑦Becky began to get tired so she flew home and landed in her garden. What an adventure! What a dress!

From writing poems to making music, ChatGPT has amazed the world since its launch in late2022 by the US-based company Open AI. It even passed several law exams in four courses at the University of Minnesota, US, according to CNN.
The AI program can answer questions on a whole host of topics and write articles, stories and any other written texts you can think of. It does this by drawing on information collected from a data base.
What makes ChatGPT so impressive? As Sam Altman, the CEO of Open Al said in an interview, "It's not actually new technology that made this (ChatGPT) so amazing. " According to MIT Technology Review, ChatGPT is based on GPT-3, a large language model. Because texts are not simply made up of the meaning of every word, language models require a type of neural network (神经网络) that can make sense of texts.
One improvement behind today's model is a network called Transformer, which was invented by Google researchers in 2017. The neural network can infer word meanings by finding where the word appears in a sentence. Transformer can therefore get the meaning of texts more correctly. The GPT models can learn by themselves without being told what to look at. ChatGPT can now produce human-like answers at once because of the plenty of texts it learned from.
"One of the biggest problems with ChatGPT is that it comes back, very confidently, with falsities, " Michael Woold at the Alan Turing Institute in London, told The Guardian (a British newspaper). This means that ChatGPT doesn't know the truth about the world -- it learns information from all kinds of resources but it cannot decide what is true or false.
Some argue that ChatGPT will be used to produce unreal news, spread falsities, or be used forbad purposes.
Along with firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce and- vinegar, tea is considered one of the seven necessities for life in China. Now, it has also won global recognition as a shared cultural treasure of mankind.
On Nov. 29, Chinese traditional tea processing skills and their related social practices were added to the UNESCO intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产) list. Since ancient times, Chinese people have been planting, picking, making and drinking tea.
More importantly, China's tea culture has formed Chinese customs. It is Chinese traditional custom that a host should welcome visiting guests with boiled tea. A poem by Song poet Du Lei reads, "I offer tea, not wine, to a guest on a cold night. When water boils on the stove, fire burns with flame bright. "
Boiling tea is one of the oldest Chinese tea brewing methods, dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Tea leaves were boiled for a long time and sometimes they were cooked together with different kinds of herbs and fruits. During this process, people can enjoy a quiet time. Later in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644), a faster and more convenient method become more popular-steeping(冲泡).
_______▲_______. On the app Xiaohongshu, or Little Red Book, there are over 40, 000posts on the topic of "stove-boiled tea"(围炉煮茶). They lightly roast tea leaves before boiling them in a teapot on a stove. People sit around the stove in a natural setting and have snacks with their hot tea. Some also wear traditional hanfu as if it could take them back to those ancient times. Through" stove-boiled tea", people can taste a slower life and find their inner peace. As is written in one Xiaohongshu post, "It is very relaxing to drink hot tea, feel the fall breeze, and chat with best friends."

When British people meet each other for the first time, they say "How do you do?" and hands. Usually they do not shake hands when they just meet or say goodbye. But they shake hands after they haven't met for a long time.
Last year a group of students went to England for a holiday. Their teacher told them that the English people shake hands. The English students had that the Germans shake hands as often as possible, so they put their hands in front and got ready to shake hands with them. It made both of them laugh.
