Welcome to your future life!
You get up in the morning and look into the mirror. You look young. In 2035, many people can live to be about 150 years old. So at the age of 40, you're not old at all. And your parents look the same age as you!
You say to your shirt, "Turn red." It changes from blue to red. In 2035, "smart clothes" can change the color and style as you like. You walk into the kitchen. You pick up the milk, but you hear the voice, "You shouldn't drink that!" Your fridge remembers the information about the milk. It knows that the milk is not fresh. In 2035, every household appliance(家用电器) is like your secretary(秘书).
It's time to go to work. In 2035, cars drive themselves. Just tell your "smart car" where to go. On the way, you can call a friend with your watch. Such "smart technology" is all around you.
So will all these things come true? "All these things will come true, even better." says a scientist.
I couldn't agree more with the scientist. I am looking forward to the new life.

A lot of people play sports, but very few people become sports professionals. If sports aren't going to be your future, then why should you play them? Why should you train every day? Why should you work hard and feel sore the next day? Wouldn't it be better to forget sports and only pay attention to your lessons?
There are actually a lot of good reasons to play sports. First of all, sports are a great way to exercise. Exercising keeps you healthy and strong. It also helps you stay in a good state. When you exercise, your body produces endorphins(内啡肽). Endorphins give you more energy and make you feel happier.
Sports are important for everyone, but they are especially important for young people. They teach young people about winning and losing. Also, they teach young people how to communicate and work as a team. For example, when you play football, you must learn how to communicate with your teammates and work together. Sports teach young people to respect their coaches, teammates, and people they fight against as well.
Many reports say that sports help young people stay out of trouble. If a young person plays sports, he or she is less likely to have problems. This is because sports teach people about rules. They also help people know that if they work hard, they might succeed.
Another good way of sports is that they make people leave their houses. These days, a lot of people spend too much time watching television and playing video games. When you play sports, you go outside and exercise in the sun. You take in fresh air. All of these things are important.
You're probably not going to become a sports professional, but that doesn't matter. Sports will help you become a better and happier person. Sports will help you make friends and stay healthy. Here is another good reason to play sports: Sports are fun.
A woodcutter started a new job at a timber(木材)company. The pay and work conditions were quite good. Since the company was treating him well, the woodcutter worked as hard as he could.
His boss gave him an axe and showed him where he was supposed to work. On his first day, the woodcutter cut down 18 trees. "Congratulations," his boss said. "Keep going!"
Encouraged by his boss' words, the woodcutter worked even harder the next day, but could only cut down 15 trees. The third day, he tried even harder, but only cut down 10 trees. Day after day, he was cutting down fewer and fewer trees.
"I must be losing my strength," the woodcutter thought. He went to his boss and apologized, saying that he could not understand what was going on.
"When was the last time you sharpened your axe?" his boss asked.
"Sharpen? I have no time to sharpen my axe. I have been very busy trying to cut down trees."
Our lives are like that. We sometimes get so busy that we don't take time to sharpen our "axe". In today's world, it seems that everyone is busier than ever, but also less happy than ever.
Why is this? There's nothing wrong with activity and hard work. Probably it is because we have forgotten how to stay "sharp". We have forgotten to continuously improve our skills so we lose our efficiency. Then we leave ourselves in a busy state and become stressed. We will feel less happy.
So remember, always take the time to sharpen your "axe" and don't become "blunt".

It takes about 20 minutes to get there by subway, and the bus ride takes about half an hour," he said. I thanked him and went to take the subway, because it was fast.

Find our way around, most people have map apps on their phones that can show their location and guide them to where they want to go. But how do these apps know your location(定位) at time or place? They find you by using satellite navigation (satnav) systems(卫星导航系统).
A satnav system uses groups of satellites to find the user's location. This location is then sent to a receiver, such as a smartphone.
For satnav systems, the number of satellites is important improving the systems positioning accuracy(定位精度). The more satellites, the more accurate the positioning is.
The first satnav system was the Global Positioning System (GPS) belongs to the United States first used in 1964, the system is the world's leading satnav system. But China's satnav system, Beidou, has overtaken(超过) GPS in size, Japan's Nikkei Asian Review reported. China sent Beidou's first navigation satellite into in 2000. China also became the country to build a satnav system after the US and Russia, People's Daily reported. As of right now, over 30 countries in Africa and the Middle East are using the Beidou system.
With its world-leading technology, Beidou is leading Chinese people to a life. It is playing roles in different areas, according to Xinhua News Agency. For example, as of March, over 6.2 million vehicles(车辆) in China were using Beidou for navigation, according to a report on the Beidou system's construction and development.
the newly-built Beijing Daxing International Airport, Beidou has been used to keep track of(追踪) loading and unloading vehicles indoors and outdoors. When the airport fully opens, each baggage cart(行李车) will have Beidou navigation equipment to help passengers get luggage faster.

Monday morning is an important time at our school. All of the students go to the playground. We listen to music, and we the national flag go up. Usually, one student gives a talk on Monday mornings.
One Monday, a boy gave the talk. He was proud and excited! When I saw him, I to have a try, too. Can I really do it?
Our teacher said our class should give the talk. My teacher said to me, "I know you want to have a try. Next Monday, you can give the talk. Get ready for it, I'm sure you well." "Thank you," I answered, it was such a great chance for me! When I got home, I was excited. I wrote two pages for the talk. I read them again and again. When I read, I asked my parents to listen. I spent a lot of time my talk. I wanted to do my best.
Monday morning came. I began nervous. I've never given a talk before. This my first time. Could I really do it? Maybe I couldn't finish the talk.
When I got to school, we to go out to playground. I stood in front of everyone. I opened my mouth, but I couldn't say anything.
"Take it easy," I said to myself." "Don't be nervous. You can do well. You your best to do it!"
Just then, I looked down at everyone. I saw about 1,000 eyes. They were all looking at me! I couldn't even stand up.
I looked at their eyes more carefully. Their eyes "You can do it! Don't be afraid, just talk! "I took a big breath. Then I began to talk. It wasn't hard. It was easy. I don't know how I finished my talk. But I did it. I felt so good that day. I showed myself to everyone what I could do.
I many talks so far. But I will never forget my first talk.
