The spring and summer months can make sleep feel impossible, with everything from sweltering(闷热的)temperatures and1late—night barbecues(户外烧烤)to loud birdsong and early sunrises to fight with.
"It's2common to have the unusual bad night, " says Dr Allie Hare, sleep consultant (睡眠顾问)at the Royal Brompton hospital in London. "As soon as you try to sleep, you won't sleep. "
In summer, our day—to—day3can change. "A regular bedtime and getting—up time is, of all the things I recommend(挑行)for good sleep, possibly the most important. "4Hare.
"The brain doesn't like getting too hot, " says Jim Home, a professor of psychophysiology(楷神生理学) at Loughborough University. You could open a window, but that5letting noise and light in.
The word "zhiyin", which means close friends, comes from the story of Yu Boya and Zhong Ziqi in the Warring States Period.
Boya was good at playing guqin. One day, he was playing music on his way home on the boat. To Boya's surprise, Ziqi, a woodcutter who1to pass by, could understand exactly what he wanted to express through his music. After a long talk, they became good friends. Since Boya had to return to his state, they reached an2to meet again in the following year.
3, when getting back to visit Ziqi. Bova heard that his friend had died from a disease(疾病). Boya was so sad and in front of Ziqi's tomb(墓), he4the music he had played when they first met. The feeling of the music was so strong that it was5the rivers and the mountains were crying. When finishing playing, Boya broke his guqin into pieces. From then on, Boya6played again.
People in the Song Dynasty built the Guqin Tai in Hanyang to7the deep relationship between Boya and Ziqi, which became an important part of the8culture. Hanyang now is a district(区)of Wuhan, Hubei Province.
Zhiyin culture has new development in the new period. Likiso Irene Lasu Silwa has very few memories of her early childhood. She was only a few months old when her mother ran away from their hometown with her and her sisters during the Second Sudanese Civil War(苏丹内战). They had lived in a refugee camp(难民营)in neighbaring Uganda ever since.
Likiso finally returned in 2015 only to find that her hometown was already part of a new country South Sudan. Today, 31-year-old Likiso is a host on RadioMiraya. Miraya is the biggest network in South Sudan which has worked hard to push for peace in the area.
"Radio was the only source(来源) of information and happiness that kept my family going in the refugee camp. My mother would listen to the radio to keep up with what was happening back home. It is this experience that made me want lo become a radio host, " Likiso recalled.
Recently a sad story shocked her country. A child was killed and her body was found in a toilet. "If that is not difficult lo report, then I don't know what is, " Likiso said. Of course, there are also stories that give hope. For example, a young man decided to return home from the refugee camp he was living in to help homeless women. He built houses for them using unused water bottles. "At the time of my interview with him, he had already managed to take 10 women and their children off the streets, "Likiso added.
In South Sudan, the radio has been seen as an important tool for providing information for hard—to—reach communities. It not only provides chances for local women and young people to learn about and take part in community events but also brings hope to those living in instability(不安定).

Improving your memory doesn't have to be a difficult process. It is about learning how brain works best and using this knowledge to your strong points.
Pay attention to what you want to remember. The most important reason why people cannot remember other people's names is that they don't pay enough attention to the name. The same has an effect on "forgetting" if you've locked the door. So, whether you want to remember a name, an action, or any other information, make efforts to pay attention.
Avoid multitasking(多任务)whenever possible. Multitasking may be typical of modern times. Studies. however, have shown that 98% of the people cannot multitask. Six children were in the hospital. They were very sick, but the doctors didn't know what to do. They called Dr. Richard Besser, an expert on strange illnesses.
First, Dr. Besser needed to find the cause of the illness. He looked for germs(细菌)in the children's bodies carefully. In every child, Dr. Besser found the same kind of the bacteria(病 毒)E. coli. He then looked at the bacteria's DNA. It showed him that this kind of E. coli was dangerous. He knew that the bacteria can get into the body through mouth, nose. eyes or a cut in the skin, which may do harm to our immunity(免疫力). causing different kinds of illnesses like fever, headache and stomachache.
Dr. Besser knew E. coli could move from animals to humans. Had the children touched animals that carried the bacteria? Besser found other E. coli cases in the area where the children lived. But it wasn't enough. Dr. Besser then made a list of what the sick children had eaten. They had all eaten cheese, apple juice. and fish. He then made a list of what healthy children in the area had eaten. They had eaten the cheese and fish, but not the apple juice.
Besser went to where the apple juice was made. He saw animals around the apple trees. He also saw the workers using dirty apples that had fallen on the ground. More importantly, he saw that the apples were not washed before the juice was made, and that the juice was not heated. Doing these things would kill the bacteria. Besser then knew it was the apple juice that made the children sick.
So he treated the children with medicine who were less serious. Those who were more serious required several days' hospital slay. One or two weeks later. the children got better. And what Besser learned that day now helps keep others safe.
