I was born on July 17th, 1995 in Atlanta, Georgia. My story started before that, in May of that year. My mother had a car accident and some people took her to the hospital at once. There the doctors told my mom that I was hurt and there was bleeding in my brain(大脑).
They said I would have strokes(中风). As my mother was still young, the doctors suggested that she should give me up. But my mother didn't want to do so. When I was finally born, the doctors found out that one side of my brain was weak and that there was water in the brain. I also suffered visual(视力的) problems.
After I was born, my parents looked after me day and night. Finally, I got much better. Now I can even see without wearing glasses.
School days passed normally for me and I never really had trouble with anything. I now have many great friends whom I love very much. This fall I will be attending Young Harris College to study English. I love writing. I have written one book already and now I am writing another. I did all that because of my parents' love and support.
No life, I think, would be complete without the love and support of the family.
Here is a book that is easy to read, but it is on a big subject. The book is named Animal Farm (1945). It is by the English writer George Orwell. It is a story about farm animals. They are tired of the farmer, Mr. Jones. He treats them badly, so they decide to kick him off the farm and run the farm themselves.
One day an old pig called Old Major gathers the animals around him. He tells them that all animals should stand together. He says they should take over (接管) the farm.
After they get rid of Mr. Jones, two pigs become the leaders of the Animal Farm. One pig called Snowball is a great speaker. He has big ideas for the Animal Farm. The other leader is a pig called Napoleon. He is a crafty animal. He brings together supporters(支持者)by offering them advantages.
Napoleon makes a war against Snowball and kicks him away from the farm. He turns Snowball into a big enemy. He tells all the animals that Snowball hates the Animal Farm. He says that Snowball is, working with Farmer Jones and other farmers to destroy the Animal Farm.
But in fact it is Napoleon who is working with the enemies of the animals. He joins the old human enemies of the animals. But he tells the animals that he is working for them. So the animals work hard. It is as bad to live under Napoleon as it was under Farmer Jones!

Some people say that if you travel in the city of Kunming, you can't miss the Kingdom of Little People. The park has been open for nearly 5 years and many people have visited this park.
In the park, there are many tiny things, including little beautiful cottages (小屋) and small furniture. The big attraction of the park is the performances by little people. Twice a day, they perform for visitors. They sing, dance and give a magic show. People working in the park are all short. They should be between eighteen and forty years old. The most important is that they should be under 130 cm in height.
The creator (创造者) of the park is a rich businessman. He wants to do something good for short people in China. Many short people come from all over the country to find jobs in the park. This theme park has brought together people of unusual height. They seem to enjoy being part of the community and impressing (给…...深刻印象)tourists with their courage and skills.
But why do these short people have to perform for others? Has anyone thought of how they feel? And what's the difference between the Kingdom of Little People and a zoo? I don't know. Only one thing is sure—short people need us to respect.
