One morning, a fox sees a cock. He thinks, "This is my breakfast." He comes up to the cock and says, "I know you can sing very well. Can you sing for me? "The cock is glad. He closes his eyes and begins to sing. The fox quickly catches the cock in his mouth and runs away.
The people in the field see the fox. They cry, "Look, look! The fox is carrying the cock away." The cock says to the fox, "Mr Fox, do you understand that people say you are carrying their cock away? Tell them it is yours. Not theirs."
The fox opens his mouth and says, "The cock is mine, not yours." Just then the cock runs away from the fox and flies into the tree.
If you look at your tongue in the mirror, you will see lots of little bumps. Taste buds are bumps on the tongue. These body parts help you taste food. Taste buds touch the food you eat. Then they send signals (信号) to your brain (大脑). Your brain makes meaning of the signals. It tells you what the food tastes like. If the food tastes bad, you know not to eat it.
Taste buds can detect (察觉) four different tastes: bitter, sour, salty and sweet. This table shows how some foods taste to most people.
Many schools in Shenzhen have after-school clubs. Students can do a lot of activities after school. They can play musical instruments (乐器)。They can play a sport like basketball or football. They can learn how to make cupcakes or paint a picture. If they have difficulty (困难) doing homework, they can join the homework club and ask the teachers for help. There are always new things to try in the after-school clubs! Here are the after-school clubs in Happy Primary School:
