I used to travel to make myself relaxed. Two years ago, I was rather busy with my business and under a lot of 1 , so I went to Las Vegas for a holiday. I just wanted to get away and 2 for a while.
When I was on holiday, an 3 suddenly came to me. I had long wished to pay a visit to the Greek island of Sanatorium. Therefore, the idea of a two-week European 4 alone was born.
I'd driven 5 across the US before, but traveling to other 6 whose languages aren't the same as mine 7 me. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to 8 with anyone.
But I soon 9 that if I wanted to follow my dreams, I had to 10 out of my comfort area (舒适区). If I let 11 take control of me, I'd get nowhere.
As I was 12 more places to visit on my trip, I found Mykonos, Greece, which I 13 just as much as I liked Sanatorium. When I arrived in 14 , it was like I was in a dream.
What I appreciated best was the bus ride to Venice. As I rode the bus and enjoyed every new thing I saw, I was completely 15 from the pressure (压力) of my work. How 16 it was to see people riding their bikes to the 17 they would like to go to!
Some people might say, "It's not a big 18 ; it's just Venice. Thousands of people go there every day." But is was more than that to me. It was about having a 19 and when it was time for it to come true, don't let it 20 .

Many foreign students are interested in knowing what a typical(典型的)school day is like in an English school, Here is an introduction.
At our school, school begins at 8:55am. The duty teacher blows a whistle(哨子)and the children line up with their class groups. They wait quietly for the teacher to send them to their classrooms.
The first lesson of the day begins at 9:30 am. Our morning lessons are usually English and mathematics. Each of these lessons lasts for an hour.
The children have their morning break from 10:30 am to 10:45 am. Our children bring a snack from home to eat on the playgrounds. We now have an hour and fifteen minutes before lunch time. The first fifteen minutes may be spent giving the children their weekly spelling test. The children will then have an English or math lessons before lunch time.
Lunch time is from 12 noon to 1:10 pm. Most children bring their lunch from home. Some children will have a cooked school dinner. While the children are waiting to have their lunch or after they have finished eating, they play games on the playgrounds or attend lunch time clubs. We have Midday Supervisors(指导者)who look after the children during lunch time. Teachers are also on hand to help out and supervise. They take it in turns to be on duty during lunch time.
After lunch time, lessons resume with reading activities. This could be the whole class quietly reading or the children doing some reading in groups. The rest of the afternoon is spent learning one or two of other school subjects.
"Homestay is a form of study abroad program. It allows the visitor to rent a room from a local (当地的) family to better understand the local lifestyle. It also helps to improve the visitor's language ability,"said a teacher during a school meeting last term."Students who wish to learn more about foreign cultures or to get foreign experience should join this kind of holiday. I am sure you won't be disappointed (失望的)."
After this special meeting,I always thought about this kind of holiday. Last month,I had a chance at last to go on such a holiday with some of my schoolmates and we went to London,a place where I had wanted to go since years ago.
As we were still young,we had a group leader who planned things for us and looked after us. After we got to London,we went to stay with different families. I was lucky that my host family (寄宿家庭) was a white couple who had a daughter about my age. They treated me as a daughter of their family during my stay there. They were interested in me and I learnt a lot of things from them, too.
The holiday was filled with activities every day. After breakfast,a local teacher would come to take us in his car. Then we would have classes or go on a sightseeing trip to different places of interest like the Big Ben,the London Bridge, and the Buckingham Palace. We would go back to our own homes after the activities.
The holiday was a valuable experience for me. I enjoyed every minute of it. Yet,time really flew fast. Three weeks later,we had to leave "home" for Hong Kong.

Most people think that making a film is exciting. In fact, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn't. Earlier this year, I worked in a new film. It was about a bomb threat on a big British ship. Two hundred people were needed to act as the passengers in the film. I was one of them.
Before we left, we were wanted to bring some warm clothes. These were necessary because the ship was going to spend the whole 16 days sailing in bad weather.
Then the day came and we sailed out of Dover. The boat had on board the film crew, the director, the actors and actresses including Brinksley Meers, who acted the leading role, and us-200 amateur(业余的) extras.
People came for different purposes. Some wanted to meet Brinksley Meers in person. Others were curious to see how a film was made. A housewife with her three children came for free holiday and a bit of adventure.
During the voyage, a lot of people were very seasick. And although the work was very interesting, it was also very hard. We often worked all day on one scene, performing it again and again under the hot lights. In the evenings, there were drinks in the bar, but most people were so tired that they went to bed early. The next day often began at 6:30 in the morning, sometimes with breakfast being filmed.
When the ship finally returned to port, most people had enjoyed the trip, but were also so tired that they at least needed a week's holiday. Answer the following questions:
