Mr White works in a post office. He is50 years old and Mrs White is 48. They don't like noise,they bought a house outside the city. But it'sMr White's office. Every morning the manget up at six. Then he does some morning exercise. After breakfast he goes to work by bus. He usually has lunch in his office. At 6 he leaves his office. He buys something in the shop and then goes to catch the bus. They have supper at half past seven. Then he watches TV or doeswriting until (直到)ten and goes to bed.

When you travel in Hong Kong, you must be careful of the traffic rules, because the traffic keeps to the left and it's different from that of the interior (内地) of China. Before crossing the street, you must look to the right and then to the left. If the traffic lights are red, the traffic must stop, and people can cross the zebra line. If the traffic lights turn green, the traffic can go, and people mustn't cross the road. 

In the morning and in the evening, when people go to or come from work, the streets are very busy. The traffic is the most dangerous. When you go somewhere by bus in Hong, you have to be careful, too. Always remember the traffic keeps to the left. Have a look first, or you may go the wrong way. In Hong Kong, there are a lot of big buses with two floors. You'd better sit on the second floor. From there you can watch the city very well. How interesting!

Lofton is a little village not far from Manchester. Like many other villages near towns or cities, it is clean and quiet. Not many families live there, so the people all know each other. Most of them are friendly and helpful. 

Although their homes are in Lofton, many people work in Manchester. Some work in the big factories. Some work in shops or offices. Most of these people go to work by train. It usually takes about half an hour to get there from Lofton to Manchester. 

In the evening, a lot of people like to watch TV. Life in Lofton may not be as exciting as life in the larger cities, but it can be just interesting. That is why people in Lofton love their little village.
