Jasper: Laura, do you know the three crew members of China's Shenzhou XIII came back on April 16?
Laura: Really? That's great.
Jasper: Calm down. You can watch the replay on the Internet later. Well, do you know there is a famous kite about our space station?
Laura: Wow, that's cool. I haven't heard about that. I know it is the hometown of the kites.
Jasper: You're right. The theme kite which is more than 160 meters long was made there. Not only does the kite show the great achievements that our country has got in aerospace, but it also displays the Chinese people's remarkable skills in kite making.
Laura: I can't imagine such a huge kite can fly in the sky. Can you tell me more about it?
Jasper: Of course. Actually, it was a super big progress. Building the kite required more than two months and 20 kite makers.
Laura: The festival was canceled due to the pandemic.

It was a cold morning. A man got off the underground and stood against a wall. He took out his 1 from case (盒子), put the case at his feet, and threw a few dollars in it. Then he began to play the violin.
After three minutes, a man 2 him. He stopped for a while and then left in a hurry. After five minutes, a woman threw a dollar in the case 3 stopping. After ten minutes, a little boy stopped, but his mother pulled his arm to get him 4 again. He turned his head to 5 the man all the time. Later, several children did the same thing. Every parent hurried their children to keep them walking 6 . After forty-three minutes, the man stopped. During the time, 1,097 people passed by, but only seven people stopped and listened to 7 a little.
The man was Joshua Bell, one of the 8 musicians in the world. A newspaper planned the experiment (实验) to see if people saw good things and enjoyed good things.
The experiment also brought up a question. When people are in a common place, can they see the9 things around them? One possible idea we get from this experiment could be this:10 we don't have time to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, how many other things are we missing?
How was your sleep last night? Let's check out some sleep habits that may be harmful to your health.
Wake up from the alarm
A young woman recently shared online that she felt uncomfortable after her loud alarm woke her up. When we are asleep, our bodies become weak. Our brains become less active and most of the body processes slow down. However, a sudden noise will cause blood pressure (压力) to rise and we may feel uncomfortable.
Waking up suddenly is not a good idea, but it's difficult for most people to wake up by themselves naturally. Leave the curtains (窗帘) half open before sleep—the sunshine in the morning can slowly wake us up.
Sleep late, wake up late
Some young people may go to bed late and wake up late. However, this can also cause health problems because the human body can tell the time. Waking up late the next day could lead to a state (状态) between sleep and waking. This is why people may feel even more tired after oversleeping.
If these sleep habits are serious enough, they will influence your studies, work and life. Pay attention to them before it is too late.
A little stream (小溪) ran down from a mountain far away through many villages and forests, until she reached a desert. The stream then thought, "I've been through so many difficulties, I should have no problem crossing this desert!" But as she started her journey, she found herself slowly disappearing into the sand. After many tries, she still failed. "Maybe I can't reach the ocean in the end," she said sadly to herself.
At this time, a deep voice came, "If the wind can cross the desert, so can a stream." It was the voice of the desert. But the little stream replied, "That's because the wind can fly, but I cannot." "That's because you can't give up what you are. If you like to do it, and let yourself evaporate (蒸发) into the wind,it can take you across, and you can reach the ocean." said the desert.
"Give up what I am now and disappear into the wind? No! No!" The little stream could not accept this idea. After all, she had never experienced anything like it before.
"The wind can carry the vapor (蒸气) across the desert and let it leave as rain. The rain will form a stream again to continue its journey." explained the desert.
"And whether you're a stream or vapor, your nature never changes." continued the desert. Hearing this, the little stream rushed into the wind, which carried her to the ocean.
Our life is like the experience of the little stream. If you want to overcome the difficulties, you should also change the way you used to be.
Are you worried about the mental health(心理健康) of a child you know? Or are you a kid looking for help?
Having good mental health is the key to the healthy development of every child. Kids need good mental health—not only to be able to deal with challenges, but also to feel good about themselves, build healthy relationships with others and enjoy life.
A kid's mental health can be influenced by many things, like school life and life events. While children can experience mental health problems at any age, they are most at risk between the ages of 12 and 16.
Everyone feels sad, angry or upset sometimes, including children. But if a kid feels like this most of the time, it's a sign that they may need help. Other signs include difficulty copying, getting on with others or staying interested in activities.
Some of the common mental health problems they experience include:
◆relationship problems
◆eating problems
◆bullying
◆feeling sad
◆worry
◆self-harm
About 1 in 7 children aged 4 to 17 have recently experienced a mental health disorder in Australia. If you think your child has a mental health problem, it's necessary to ask for professional help.
There are plenty of things that can be done to improve mental health and help prevent mental health problems from developing. For example, getting enough sleep, eating well and doing organized physical activities are as important to children as they are to adults.
Long-lasting and safe relationship, such as with the child's family, is seen the most influential reason in a child's life.
As a parent, there are some simple steps you can take to support your child's mental health. These are things like taking an active interest in your child, encouraging them to talk about what's happening in their life. If you are worried, get support from your doctor or other health or mental health professionals.

So far, more than 200,000 drivers have shown their support. "We can't control the weather, but we can choose not to drive, "said Wu Zonghua, a car club chairman. Beijing is trying to have 238 blue sky days this year. In the first quarter of 2018, Beijing only had 52 blue sky days. This was 11 days less than the number for the same period last year. Much of the dust comes from the desert, but cars cause most of the air pollution. We must do more for No Car Day.
