Evans Wadongo was from a poor village of Africa. He had to do homework by the light of a kerosene lamp(煤油灯). Evans' eyes hurt and this made studying difficult.
However, Evans was excellent enough to enter a university. But he continued to worry about the kerosene lamp. He realized it was not just bad for school children but for the whole family. First, it can cause illnesses such as coughs. Also, the light can hurt people's eyes. Besides, it can lead to fires. Lastly, kerosene is expensive, so families have less money for food. It was difficult to come up with a different kind of lamp that was cheap and good for the environment. Yet Evans did not give up.
One day, he had an idea. He could use a small solar(太阳能)light. Sunlight is free and solar power is clean. Evans built his first solar lamp, and it worked. He began to build more lamps and sent them to local families. An organization heard about this and provided money for him to build more solar lamps.
Each lamp only cost $20. However, this was a lot of money to many villagers, so Evans made sure he kept the cost down. He used recycled materials and ask volunteers to build the lamps. Finally, people from many countries gave away money to his team, so the lamps were usually free.
The solar lamps made a big difference to thousands of people. Julia, a mother of three, said, "Thanks to Evans, my children have light to read, and I have my own light to cook. "

Now, studying online has become a common way of learning. The biggest difference between studying online and studying in school is that our teachers can't ▲ us all the time, so we should be able to control ourselves. I didn't know this at first. During our online classes, I often got distracted by my mobile phone.
For this reason, í didn't do well in the midterm exam. At that time, I realized that I had to do something to improve my online study habits, so I made up my mind to concentrate (集中注 意力)on the online classes. Finally, I made much progress in the final exam.
Now I want to offer you some ways I used to improve my learning during the online classes. Firstly, make a list of what you should do and what you shouldn't do. Try your best to follow it. Don't set your aims too high at first, because proper aims can help you to make the list work. Secondly, keep your mobile phones out of your reach when you study. Give them to your parents if necessary. Thirdly, make efforts to review and overcome your shortcomings in the process of review. You can ask your teachers for help or work with your classmates.
In general, we should stick to keeping good learning habits all the time. I hope that all students can study better both online and offline.
①setting a high aim at the beginning of his learning
② making a list of what he should do and what he shouldn't do
③ making efforts to review and overcome his shortcoming
④keeping the mobile phones away from him when he studied
