Floor sweeping robot, also known as automatic cleaner, intelligent dust collector, robot vacuum cleaner, is a kind of intelligent household appliances, which can automatically clean the floor in the room with a certain amount of artificial intelligence. Brush sweeping and vacuum are generally used to absorb the ground sundries into their own garbage storage box, so as to complete the function of ground cleaning. Generally speaking, robots that complete cleaning, dust collection and floor cleaning are also uniformly classified as floor sweeping robots.
Recently, my family has a new member. It has a foolish name called "JoJo". It is a "sweeping robot", with a round, flat body, wearing a silly coat and shining like a scammony. To be honest ,I turned my back on it. It has several functions! It has a powder in its stomach. When it first sweep a lot of dust together, it will eat them all in its body. As long as it is touched gently, it will climb around on the ground and start working hard.
It has a pair of sensitive infrared "eyes". When encountering obstacles in front, it will drop its head as fast as driving. When it feels that there is garbage around it, it will run towards the garbage and sweep it clean. Every night, when I finish my homework, there is no paper dust on the whole floor. It can also make an appointment and work regularly. After completing the task, it can find its own charger to charge, which is very powerful. Since it came to our home, it has become a good helper for our cleaning. My mother said,"this is the power of science and technology!"
Although its look is completely stupid but it have helped me a lot in cleaning. So I hope scientists can invent many capable robots like JoJo in the future.
Student team TU/ecomotive at the Eindhoven University of Technology has developed a sustainable electric passenger car that captures more carbon dioxide (CO2) than it emits while driving. Called ZEM, for zero emission mobility, the two-seater purifies the air through a special filter (过滤器). By storing the captured CO2 and then dealing with it, ZEM can contribute to reducing global warming. The students will continue to improve the vehicle with the goal of making it carbon-neutral (碳中和) for its entire life cycle.
The car can capture 2 kilograms of CO2 through a special filter at 20,000 travel miles per year. This means that ten cars can store as much CO2 as an average tree. That may not seem like much, but the overall payoff is significant if you were to utilize it in every passenger car. After all, there are more than a billion passenger cars driving around the world, which could capture net CO2 instead of emitting it.
A life cycle analysis with SimaPro software can be used to determine the extent to which the life cycle of the vehicle — from construction to use and afterlife — is carbon-neutral. Several innovations contribute to this goal. Consider the 3D printing techniques used by the students. The body panels are made through 3D printing, resulting in almost no remaining waste. In addition, the student team prints plastics that can be recycled for other projects.
The electric and sustainable four-wheel drive has a sporty look. With the good reason, say the students, because a sporting challenge awaits the automotive industry. After all road transport must become much more sustainable.
Nikki Okkels, external relations manager at TU/ecomotive, says: "We call on the industry to pick up the challenge, and of course we are happy to think along with them. We haven't finished developing yet, but we believe it will eventually hit the road. We warmly invite car makers to come and take a look."
The US government took extraordinary steps on Sunday after the historic failure of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), assuring depositors(存款人) at the institution that they would be able to quickly access all of their money. The announcement came amid fears that the factors that caused the California-based bank to fail could cause a banking contagion(漫延), and only a couple of hours before trading opened on Asian markets.
The Treasury Department, the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) said on Sunday that all SVB clients will be protected-including accounts that exceed the FDIC-insured limit of $250,000. "Depositors will have access to all of their money starting on Monday, March 13. No losses associated with the resolution of Silicon Valley Bank will be borne by the taxpayers," the agencies said in a joint statement. "This step will ensure that the US banking system continues to perform its vital roles in protecting deposits and providing access to the money deposited in the bank for households and businesses in a manner that promotes strong and sustainable economic growth."
Regulators had worked over the weekend to try to come up with a buyer for SVB, the second-largest bank failure in history. Those efforts appeared to have come up empty as of Sunday.
The regulators also announced that the New York-based Signature Bank had failed and its property was taken on Sunday. At more than $110 billion in assets(资产), Signature Bank is now the third-largest bank failure in US history. The officials also said that depositors at the bank, which was closed on Sunday by the New York state financial regulator, would not bear the loss. Signature's shareholders and unsecured debtors will not be protected, and management has been removed, the officials said.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had said earlier on Sunday that she was working with banking regulators to respond after SVB became the largest bank to fail since the 2008 financial crisis, during which Washington Mutual collapsed. SVB had $ 209 billion in assets and $175.4 billion in deposits at the time of failure, the FDIC said in a statement. The bank mostly served technological companies. "We want to make sure that the troubles that exist at one bank don't create contagion to others," Yellen told CBS' Face the Nation.
Do Weighted Blankets Work?
Sleep is supposed to be a natural thing, but if you wrestle with insomnia (失眠症), you may be tempted to try pieces of equipment that promise better sleep.
"They've become the sleep tool to have," says Alanna McGinn, founder and lead sleep expert at Good Night Sleep Site. "I'm a huge supporter of them because they can work so well."
About 32 percent of Americans don't get enough sleep, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Insomnia impacts as many as 35 percent of adults from time to time, while 10 percent have chronic trouble falling and staying asleep.
Choose one that's around 10 percent of your body weight. Inside is a layer of plastic, glass or metal balls surrounded by filling. McGinn says the blanket's heaviness acts as a touch therapy called deep pressure stimulation. Just as wrapping babies tightly can send them to sleep, these blankets help your heart and breathing rates slow and your body release feel-good hormones, including serotonin (血清素).
Are they effective? A 2020 review study in the U.S. looked at eight previous studies and concluded that weighted blankets helped reduce anxiety — but not necessarily insomnia. A randomized controlled study in Sweden looked at 120 people with insomnia and also depression or anxiety. People with conditions such as diabetes or breathing issues, however, should check with their doctor before using one. "And if you're someone who is a little afraid of an enclosed space, it's probably not the best thing for you," adds McGinn.
A.It recommends at least seven hours a night for adults.
B.Those who used a weighted blanket slept better and were less tired or anxious.
C.The study found a significant rise in the related symptoms.
D.But other 2020 research tells a slightly different story.
E.One that might sound a little weird but that has been known to work is a weighted blanket.
F.Dealing with such problems can be more or less tricky.
G.Weighted blankets range between two and 14 kilograms.
Chatting has been everywhere for the last few months. It raises 1 about their impact on everything happening in our society.
ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool 2 by AI technology that allows you to have human-like 3 and much more. The language model can answer questions and 4 you with tasks, such as composing emails, essays, and code.
The 5 to produce frequently accurate responses to a vast range of questions is why it became the fastest-growing app of all time,6 100 million users in only two months. The fact that it can also7 essays, articles, and poetry has only 8 its appeal. It is also equally 9 at coding and productivity tasks. For the former, its ability to 10 code from natural speech makes it a powerful partner for both new and 11 coders.
Despite looking very impressive, ChatGPT still has 12 . Such restrictions include the inability to answer questions that are worded in a 13 way, as it requires rewording to understand the input question. A bigger limitation is a lack of quality in the 14 it delivers. Another major limitation is that its data is limited up to 2021. The chat robot does not have any 15 of events or news that have occurred since then. Lastly, ChatGPT does not provide sources for its responses.
On recent weekends, visitors from surrounding cities, province and even (far) away are rushing to try Zibo barbecue. Should kids get allowances for doing housework?
"BEES ARE DYING!" Doodlebug Pinkley cried, thrusting his latest copy of World of the Weird at his sister Dandelion. His favorite magazine had a lot of strange but important content. This month it was insects in danger. The number of certain bugs, including bees, was falling sharply all over the world.
"It's terrible!" Dandelion replied, after reading the article. They were sitting on the outdoor patio (露台) of Cool Yule's Ice Cream Shop.
"Maybe we could make a bee roof garden, too — like in this article," Doodlebug suggested. Yule recommended making it on the patio, adding a pollinator (传粉昆虫) garden up there would attract bees — and more customers. "Brilliant!" Everyone else responded in a chorus.
Now the problem was how to get the funds. Dandelion proposed raising money by setting up a booth near the shop's entrance to alert people and ask them to donate. The plan was a go!
The next day their friends Bog, Tomiko and Izzy met Doodlebug and Dandelion inside Yule's. Everyone was excited. They made handouts explaining how the garden would attract pollinators, do something to help prevent flooding, and improve the air.
"We should have a bee mascot (吉祥物)," Izzy suggested. Doodlebug recalled the old bee costume that his Mom wore for Halloween once. Over the enthusiastic uproar, Dandelion shouted, "And you'll be the bee, Doodlebug!" "WILL NOT!" Doodlebug shot back. "Too big. We need to stuff some grownup into that costume." But who, then? For ten mad minutes the kids debated loudly.
"Silence, you little noisy kids!" someone suddenly roared. "I'm trying to read about bees in danger!" The whole crew turned in shock. There sat Doodlebug's horrible teacher, Mrs. Noodleknocker. Doodlebug had discovered long ago that she was a World of the Weird fan, but that didn't make her any nicer. "Bees and butterflies need help!" Mrs. Noodleknocker cried. "But a person can't even worry about them peacefully!"
