Helen Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on June 27, 1880. However, her real life beganone day in March of 1887, when she was almost seven years old. She always called that the most important day in her life. It was the day when Annie Sullivan came to be her teacher. Sullivan didn't leave Helen until her death in 1936.
Helen wanted to go to college when she was a little girl. In 1900, she entered Radeliffe College and graduated from there as a good student in 1904. Then she became the first deaf-blind person to graduate from college. During these years, Annie Sullivan taught Helen by spelling words into Helen's hand.
During the time when she was at college, she finished her first work The Story of My Life. That was the beginning of her writing career (生涯). This career continued for 60 years. Besides The Story of My Life, she wrote 13 other books and lots of articles on blindness, deafness and women's rights (权利).
Also, Helen Keller often gave her hand to the people who were blind or deaf. She was a regular visitor to a number of organizations. She attended nearly all the activities held by the organizations. In 1936, Helen Keller moved to Westport, Connecticut and lived there until her death on June 1, 1968.
Recently, my 15-year-old daughter asked me for help with her homework. Unluckily, I was busy helping her brother. When I finally came to her 30 minutes later, she told me that she had asked ChatGPT for help. Through several rounds of questions and answers, it had explained her physics lesson as well as helped her solve the problems.
I wouldn't call this cheating. Let's take a closer look at what ChatGPT is, how it works and its problems.
ChatGPT is a big language model. It is trained on a large number of text, which allows it to produce human-like responses (响应) to different kinds of questions. However, ChatGPT has trouble with difficult mathematical calculations (计算). This probably shows that logical (逻辑的) thinking hasn't been fully picked up by such models.
ChatGPT has allowed students to complete their homework without much effort. This has raised worries about cheating and their learning ability. Educators fear that students will become lazy thinkers. With ChatGPT, they will fail to develop lifelong skills like critical thinking (批判性思维), researching and writing.
For sure, ChatGPT is a powerful language model. It has the power to completely change the way we learn and interact (互相交流) with machines.
Many people say dolphins (海豚) are smart. They seem to be able to think understand and learn things quickly. But are they as smart as humans? .
Like humans, every dolphin has its own "name". The name is a special whistle (哨声). .
Dolphins are like people in other ways, too. They "talk" to each other about a lot of things — such as their ages, their feelings, and finding food. No one understands dolphin language yet, but some scientists are trying to learn.
They live in groups, and they often join others to play games and have fun — just like people. Scientists believe playing together is something only smart animals do.
Dolphins and humans are similar in another way: both of the two make plans for getting things they want. In the seas of southern Brazil, for example, dolphins use a clever plan to get food. When there are fish near a boat, dolphins signal (发信号) to the fishermen to put their nets (网) in the water. Then the dolphins can get to eat some of the fish that swim away from the net.
A. Dolphins are also social animals.
B. Using this method, the men can catch a lot of fish.
C. Scientists say dolphins and humans are very similar in some ways.
D. Each dolphin chooses a certain whistle for itself on its first birthday.
E. However, understanding dolphin's conversation is not easy for humans.
Manners are very important in our daily life. There are many different habits and customs among different countries. Here are the (thing) that a person with good education should do.
When you visit a Chinese family, you should knock the door first. Don't move before the host says "Come in, please." It is (polite) to take a seat before the host offers you. When a cup of tea (send) to your hand, you should say "Thank you." and receive it with two hands. Before (enter) a house in Japan, it is a good manner to take off your shoes. In England, if a visitor (eat) all the food, the host will be pleased with that.
If Englishman says "Come at any time." you shouldn't start fixing a date at once. in India, "come at any time" means "I want you to visit me." If you don't suggest a time at once, the Indian will think you are refusing the (invite).
Although there are many differences between cultures, there's one that is accepted (wide) in the world — smile.

Take care of yourself
Some of your personal habits might influence your study. Are you feeling tired or bored during homework time? You can improve your study by practicing a few good homework habits. You can also change the way you feel by taking care of your mind and body.
