Dad wanted to take us for a trip. We 1 to go to Greece（希腊）. It is about 5, 779 kilometers from India to Greece. The idea of traveling so far for the first time 2 my sister and me 3 .

June 16th

    In the morning, we went camping along a path in Green Natural Park. We were happy because it was a sunny day. We were expecting an enjoyable two-day holiday. On the way, we kept singing and making jokes.

    However, in the afternoon, when we finished our picnic at one o'clock, it was dark and windy. Soon, there was a shower. Unluckily, none of us brought an umbrella. We ran about but we could find no place to hide.

    Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining, There were hours to go before we reached the campsite (野营地). It was even worse that our small compass (指南针) showed that we went to the wrong way. We had lost our way!

    We had to make a quick decision as it was raining heavily. Chris said we could set up a tent to hide in, so Mary and Tom helped to set up the tent. Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us warm. But we were unable to light the fire, as everything was wet. We dried ourselves, chatted and waited inside the tent. At about five o'clock, it stopped raining. We decided to give up the camping trip because all of us had been very tired.

    This camping trip may not be very successful but we know each other better. And the most important thing I've learned from this trip is the importance of team spirit.

One day a rich boy bought a magic mirror (镜子). When he got home, he looked in the mirror. His face looked sad. He tried to smile and make funny faces, his face looked still sad. Then he did many happy things, but his face always looked sad

"Oh, what a terrible mirror! It doesn't work! " he said angrily.

The next day on his way to buy some chocolate, he saw a little girl crying sadly. The rich boy went up to her and asked what had happened. The little girl said she couldn't find her parents. "Don't worry. I'll help you," the rich boy said. So they went to look for them together. Finally they found her parents. They were so thankful for his help. After the rich boy arrived home, he looked in the mirror as usual. To his surprise, his face looked very happy. The boy understood the magic of the mirror. The mirror could show the true feelings of its owner. The rich boy had helped that little girl so he felt really happy.

One Saturday Maria and I had a 30-mile bike ride. It seemed perfect. We started at 7: 00 a. m. in beautiful spring weather. At 10:30 a. m. , when we stopped for a rest, we both felt wonderful. And then a brisk wind (微风) came. That was when our perfect day began to change.

By noon, we knew a serious thunderstorm (雷雨) was blowing our way. Dark clouds rolled up out of the southwest. A stinging wind burned our faces. There was no way to stay out of thunderstorm. We would have to wait it out, but where?

    ▲     The temperature dropped suddenly. I looked up and saw the sky now turned dark green. Trees and crops were bent over by the wind. No animals were in sight.

Then a blue car stopped beside our bikes. The driver shouted, "Get in!" She looked frightened, and so did we. We did as she said. That was when the hail (冰雹) started. Ice, the size of golf balls, hit the windows of the car.

She drove fast to the north. Maria and I looked back at the black sky. Maria screamed, "Tornado (龙卷风)!" It was so close that I could see trees, doors, and all kinds of other things that this monster swallowed.

My heart moved up to my throat and was beating so hard. I thought it would jump out of my body. I had never been so frightened. We would never run faster than the tornado! The driver turned to us and said calmly. "There's an overpass (立交桥) ahead. We'll stay under it for protection."

When we parked, we jumped out of the car and ran to the wall of the overpass. Before I could count to 20, there came a loud noise. It sounded like a train passing overhead. Then, suddenly, it was over. We had made it.

Soon we were all laughing with relief (轻松). We were shaken but excited. What a story I would have to tell at school!

The Internet is a great place to meet new people and find information. However, it's important to pay attention to the information you share and the people you communicate with online. 

★Think before you post

It's fun to share photos with your friends, but don't post photos of yourself where strangers can see them. Check your privacy settings. 

★Protect your personal information.

We use passwords to enter a lot of websites, and we often need to register (注册) at those sites, using personal information. But be careful! So, make sure you don't share your passwords with anyone. What's more, choose passwords carefully and change them often.

★Think twice before you communicate with strangers (陌生人).

There are a lot of great people communicating on the Internet.  If you receive emails from someone you don't know, think carefully before you reply. And if someone invites you to meet somewhere, tell your parents about it before you make a decision.

★Be careful when you open attachments (附件).

Someone you don't know might send you an email with an attachment that has a computer virus. A virus can cause all kinds of trouble. It can stop your computer from working. So never open a file or message from someone you don't know! Be safe by hitting "Delete" instead.

So have fun when you use the Internet. But remember to stay safe!
