Sadness is a part of our life. And we have to be our own light (灯) to find a way out. When I was in primary school, my was to go to the best high school in my city. But things didn't always go as I planned at that time, because I didn't do well in schoolwork and even found it hard my own homework.
My classmates laughed at me when we talked about our dreams. "You will never be ," they shouted to me loudly.
My teacher came to stop them. But after she heard about my dream, she said, "That school was all the dreams." She also told me, "Only a few of them made it. It is difficult most students to get into that school."
I felt a little sad but I wanted to keep my dream, I studied hard all the time. I read English a lot to learn many new words. I stayed up late to math problems. I looked for answers to the questions in the library. I used all my money to take more classes. I tried my best to make my dream come true.
All the hard work paid off (得到了回报). I made it to my dream school. At that time, I felt . The world seemed to be more wonderful. Every morning I dressed in my new school uniform and proudly left home.
Sometimes sadness is around us. But please always to keep our own dream.

Mary Armstrong was a pretty little girl, but she did not pay attention to her things. She usually left her books and playthings everywhere, and it gave her mom much trouble in picking them up and putting them in the proper places. Some of her books and toys became spoiled (破损的). Her mom had often told Mary the bad result of being so careless. What's worse, the growing habit of carelessness would be of great harm to her all her life. But Mary didn't listen to her mom. So they argued a lot.
One day, Mary made a beautiful toy, a gift for her best friend's birthday. When her mom asked her to go out into their yard to play, Mary put the toy in her room casually (随意地). She ran around and played happily there. An hour later, it was time to go to her friend's birthday party. Mary went back to her room to get the toy. But she couldn't find it anywhere. Finally, she found the toy broken in the corner. At once she realized that Dash, her pet dog, had done this, and she was very angry. Carrying the broken toy to her mom, she couldn't help crying.
Mrs. Armstrong asked Mary if she had left the toy in the place where Dash could easily get it, and Mary answered, "Yes, Mom."
"Then you should not be irritated, Mary, because the dog does not know it is wrong to play with your toy. I hope this will be a lesson to you, to put your things away when you are going to play."
"I will try," said Mary. And her mom promised to mend the toy as well as she could.

Why do we have tears when we cry? Scientists have been trying to answer this question for centuries. Till now, one thing is clear. There are different kinds of tears: basal tears (基底眼泪), reflex tears (反射眼泪) and emotional tears. And the studies show emotional tears are the most of all. They are caused by strong feelings.
Tears are easy to appear. In fact, you make 15 to 30 gallons (加仑) of tears each year. Being moved by a moving movie, being away from home for the first time or seeing a loved friend off can all cause tears.
Tears have many roles. "The role of tears may be more important than its physical effects (作用)," says Lauren Bylsma, a PhD in University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Bylsma found out that people are more likely to feel better after crying if they get help when they cry. It is common that some people may cry when they realize they are wrong. After crying, people can feel better.
But people who try to hold back their tears or cry without tears are less likely to feel better after crying. So next time when you want to cry, just do it.
A People will be happy after they cry.
