Rosen made his living by playing the guitar in a street, but he was always in a good state and had seen things from a different side. He often said, "When the sun sets, it will rise again. When the sun rises, it will also set. That is life."

Rosen loves cars, but it's impossible for him to buy one himself. When he was with his friends, he always said, "If only I had a car!" His eyes were full of hopes. Someone said to him as if it was joking, "Go buy a lottery ticket. If you win, you'll have a car!"

One day, however, Mr. Rosen left the car outside his room and, half an hour later, found it stolen when he went out. When his friends heard the news, they worried that he could not stand it. They thought that he loved his car so much, but the car he had bought for tens of thousands of dollars has gone in the blink of an eye. So they got together to comfort him, "Rosen, the car has lost. Don't be too sad!"

"Hey, why should I be sad?" Mr. Rosen laughed. The friends looked at each other with doubt. "If one of you lost two dollars by chance, would you be sad?" Mr. Rosen continued.

"Of course not!" Some people said that.

"Yes, I just lost two dollars!" Ms. Rosen laughed.

Nowadays, people all love the beauty of roses. However, many people don't know about a flower that has also played a very important role and shouldn't be forgotten. That is the Chinese rose.

Chinese rose first appears in China and has been cultivated for more than 2,000 years. It was planted in large number during the Han Dynasty and was more common during the Tang Dynasty. Because the environment of the Yangtze River in China was good for its growth, most of the Chinese rose were planted around the Yangtze River in ancient times. According to the history, the rose was introduced to Europe through India in 1789, and more than 10,000 kinds have been created after thousands of hybridization tests.

Chinese rose is 1-2 meters high with thorns. There are 3-5 leaves, each 2.5-6 cm long and 1-3 cm wide. Its flowers usually grow together. The color of the flowers usually change from red, pink then to white. It usually blooms from April to September. Chinese rose likes light. In the growing season, it should be provided with enough sunlight, at least 6 hours' light. Otherwise, it only grow long leaves but won't bloom. Chinese rose likes cool and warm environment, afraid of high temperature. The best temperature is 18-28℃.

Chinese rose is of great value in greening. It can also be used as a medicine. In addition, it is one of the top ten famous flowers in China and is known as the "Queen of flowers". In ancient China, there were also many poems praising its beauty. As a symbol of happiness, beauty, peace and friendship, it is so popular that some countries choose it as their national flower, such as Iraq and Syria.

There are so many words that have different meanings in different situations.  When someone say that they get "fair shake". This word "shake" has a different meaning from the one we usually use.

 The word "shake" in "shake hands" is a verb, but it is a noun in the phrase "fair shake". People use the words in different situations through out thousands of years and that's why we have different forms of a word, let alone the expressions.  So it's not proper to guess the meaning of a phrase just through what you see.

In fact, the real meaning of the phrase "fair shake" is easy to understand.  John's boss, Mr. lee, gives everybody a fair shake—he gives them all a chance to compete and he treats every man and woman officers with respect.

 To "fair enough" means that what you think is making sense and what you can accept. Now let's understand its meaning with an example. A man hit another car because he was driving at a red light. As a result, the man was for the whole accident. That was fair enough.

When I was at the age of twelve, my mother taught me a valuable lesson that I will never forget.  was a sunny day. I was walking down the street with my mother when we met Mr. Brown. I could see Mr. Brown at any time around the neighbor. So I just stood there. Later, my mother said something wonderful, "It's the last time you went  somebody you know without opening your mouth, because it was impolite."
