Ben: It's warm in March. There are beautiful flowers in the park.
Mrs Li: Do you like March, Kitty?
Kitty: In March, it's rainy. The sky is gray (灰色的). The weather is not nice. I like October. In October, it's cool. I can fly kites.
Mrs Li: Yes, I do. There's a long holiday (假期) in October. And my birthday is in October too.
Kitty: How about you, Dad?
Mr Li: I like July. I like swimming.
Ben: Oh, I don't like July.
Tom is a bookworm (书迷). He likes reading a lot. It's half past eight on Friday evening. Tom doesn't go to bed, because (因为) he is reading a funny storybook.
In the morning, Tom wakes up and looks at his clock. Oh, my God! It's half past eight. He's late for school.
Tom screams, "Mum, I'm late for school. Please help me." Mum isn't at home. Tom has to put on his clothes and get up quickly.
Tom says, "I'm so hungry. But I must go now." Tom runs out. He doesn't have breakfast. How he wishes he will not be late! How he wishes it is only half past seven now. How he wishes his clock stopped at half past eight last night.
When Tom arrives (到达) at school, it's already nine o'clock. But the school is quiet. Why? Because today is Saturday. Tom doesn't have any lessons. He is not late for school.
