One Saturday, the weather was fine. The wind blew gently and the sun shone . A bear was flying a kite. The kite was flying higher and higher in the sky. Suddenly, the kite hit the tree and stuck on it. The bear wanted to climb up the tree to get the kite. But the tree was too tall. The bear became sad and he  crying. Just then, a giraffe came. He was very tall. He was much taller than the bear. He  to help the bear. He tried several times. And, he got the kite from the tree. The bear felt very happy. The giraffe said, "You should not fly your kite in the woods any more. You should fly it on the grass." "Thank you very much. Let's be friends forever," said the bear. "I ," said the giraffe and he smiled. From then on, they became good friends and often flew kites together.

Swimming is very popular in summer. People like swimming in summer because water1 them feel cold. But swimming in a wrong place may not be safe. These years, some people died when they were swimming and 2  of them were students. But some people are 3  not careful. They often think they swim very well and nothing can happen to them in water.4 is coming again. If you go swimming in summer, don't forget that better swimmers have died in water. They died because they were 5 , not because they couldn't swim well. So don't swim when you are alone.6 there is a "No Swimming" sign, don't get into water, either. If you remember these, swimming will be safer. 

Why is setting goals（设定目标）important? Goals allow yourself to make your life happen i of just letting life happen to you. 

Successful people imagine how their life should be and they set lots of goals. By setting goals, you are c taking control of your life. It's like having a map to show where you want to go. For example, there are t  drivers. One has a destination （目的地）in mind. She can drive straight there w any wasted time or wrong turns. The other one has no goal or destination or map. She starts off at the same time from the same p. But she drives aimlessly around, never getting anywhere, just using up gas and oil. Which one do you want to be?

Winners in life set goals and follow through on them. They decide what they want in life and then get there by m plans and setting goals. Unsuccessful people just let life happen by accident. Goals aren't d to set or reach. It's up to you to find out what your goals, ideals and visions really are. You are the one who must decide what to pursue and in what direction to aim your life. 

"More young people should have science lessons at school and university（大学）." Hazel Wallace, a Science teacher from London, said at a meeting for university students last weekend. "Science can change the world and make people live better. We need more people who want to teach science."

But there was bad news from Dr Benson, a university science teacher. "There's a real problem with science teaching in schools. About 35分 physics（物理）teachers in schools don't have a physical degree（物理学学位）. Not enough people are studying Science at university and this means that there are not enough science teachers."

Mrs Wallace didn't agree. "It's true that the number of science pupils fell between 2000 and 2010," she said. "But now the numbers are going up again. The number of students who study science lessons at school is much higher now than it was in 2010."

Dr Benson thought that numbers were still too low, "We should interest the children at the age of 12-16 in studying science. There's still a problem with science lessons in UK classrooms. Some of them are too difficult or boring for students. As for teachers, old ways of teaching have to change. We must change the way most young people think about Science. Science can also be fun. Students can take part in more science activities at school.
