People use body language to send messages to others. It is very 1 because others can understand you easily when you use body language. When you are talking with others, you are not just using words, but also using 2 . For example, waving one's hand is to say, "Goodbye". Shaking hands means welcome, and clapping hands 3 congratulations (祝贺). Nodding the head means YES, but shaking the head means NO.
Different countries have 4 body language. For example, when in 5 , France and Arab countries, people kiss each other when they meet, 6 men in China or Australia shake hands. People in Puerto Rico like touching each other, but people in Britain do not touch each other. People in Arab countries like 7 close to one another when they are talking, but English people must keep a distance away when they are talking. It is very important 8 the meanings of gestures and movements in the foreign country. 9 they will help you communicate with people and make you stay there much more 10 and comfortable.

I think the robots will replace accountants (会计). Most accountants deal with numbers and bills at big companies. They must work very carefully. Even a small mistake can cause a big problem. Sometimes, people may get tired and make mistakes. But robots won't and they can solve the problem easily. Using robots means there will be fewer problems.

Somebody, robots will take the place of shop assistants. Robots use computers and they good arithmetic (算术). The robots assistants calculate more quickly and more accurately than human assistants. The robots assistants have no feelings, whatever the customers buy, they will always behave well. The robots assistants can make shopping more enjoyable.

I believe the robots are going to take the place of the workers in the manufacturing (制造业) industry. Most workers in a factory do heavy and boring work. Robots will work on it better and faster than people. I know some factories are already using robots, but I think they will totally replace humans in the future.
Zhadun, 14, from Shannan
Robots will replace astronauts in the future. An astronaut's job is to push buttons, clean the space capsule (太空舱), collect data and take photos, droppers. Robots have different abilities to copy human behaviour with the help of artificial intelligence. So maybe someday scientists will create robot astronauts in order to explore space.

Smart robots will probably take the place drivers. That's because this kind of work doesn't need high education or much knowledge. As long as people pass the test and get a driving license, they can do it, so smart robots can drive instead of people. What's more, employers will prefer to use robots because they won't have to pay them a high salary each month.
It may be really hard to tell others that you're feeling sad or worried. If you keep these feelings in your heart, you may even fall ill at last.
If you talk with your parents or friends, you may feel better. But if a kid doesn't want to talk with his or her dad or mom, what should he or she do? It's better to find another trusty (可信的) adult, like a teacher at school.
If you think it's difficult for you to say what you think, write it down on a piece of paper. If the person can't understand what you mean right away, try to say it in a different way or give an example.
Some kids may feel shy about sharing their feelings. But it's important to share feelings when they need help.

China covers large areas and has the most people. Different living habits are always an interesting topic (话题) in the country. These days, another difference between southern Chinese and northern Chinese became a hot one: the way to shop at markets.
People from southern China say that they always buy some vegetables for just one or two meals. It is normal for them to buy one potato or a little beef at a time.
However, one may be laughed at if he does this in the north. Instead, buying vegetables and meat enough for a week is usual. Also, you can buy a small amount (数量) of fruit, such as an apple or pear each time in the south. Shop owners even help you peel and cut them. But shop owners in the north hardly offer such service. And they sell many fruits in baskets and boxes.
The difference could be due to the different weather. Food can be kept for a long time in the north as it is usually cold and dry there. Many northern Chinese have the habit of storing food, especially for the long winter. But the hot and wet weather in the south makes southern Chinese buy just enough food for one meal or one day, or the food may go bad.
One day, an 11-year-old girl asked her dad, "What you (give) me for my 15th birthday?" The father replied, "Don't worry about that. We still have plenty of time."
But on a day after her 14th birthday, she passed out (昏倒) and (send) to the hospital. The family learned that the girl (have) a serious heart disease and that she (die). At night, she asked her dad, "Daddy, they (tell) you that I am going to die? The father replied, "No, you will live as long as anyone else." She wondered and asked, "How can you be sure?" He smiled to her and said, "I just (know) it."
After (turn) 15, she had a heart transplant (心脏移植手术). When she came back from the hospital, a letter (lie) on her bed. It said: "My dearest daughter, when you are reading this, it means that everything went as I told you it would. One day you asked me what I would give you for your 15th birthday. I wasn't sure then. But now, you know that my present to you is my heart. " The father had given his heart to his daughter.
Parents are selfless (无私的). They always even make great sacrifices (牺牲) (make) their children grow happily. Keep this in mind when you feel angry toward your parents. They always (do) what they think best for you.
