Li Zhenghan is a college student from the University of Nottingham Ningbo China(UNNC). He has dreamed of becoming a pilot since he was a child. Unluckily, he didn't pass the test for pilot training in high school.

During college, Li got the idea of sending a bear to space after seeing similar tests online. However, without enough knowledge(知识), he didn't know how to get started.After several years of study, Li finally felt ready to try the cool project.

Li's team spent two months preparing for the test. To make sure the toy bear can land on a safe area away from cities, they decided to send it at the border (边境) betweenLiaoning and Inner Mongolia. In October 2023, the toy bear began its journey fromNingbo, crossing mountains and rivers to reach the testing place. With everything ready, it was tied to a balloon and then rose into the sky. Within 90 minutes, the bear reached a height of about 28,000 meters.26 minutes later, it landed in a rice field.

Behind the success, things were not as simple as they appeared. Unexpected problems came up from time to time, but the team didn't give up. In the end, their hard work and determination (决心) brought success.

Polar bears are the biggest meat-eaters on land. A polar bear can weigh as much as seven men. A polar bear's body is built for the Arctic (北极). These bears have thick fat that keeps body heat in. A polar bear's paws(爪) do many things. They can dig holes where the baby polar bears stay safe and warm in the snow. Also, they can break ice to find food and pull food out of the water.

A polar bear eats other animals. Seals(海豹) are its favorite food. The bear waits and waits because seals will come up for air at holes in the ice. Finally, when a seal appears,the polar bear catches it at once. Polar bears have good noses. They can smell a seal 20miles away! They have good hearing and eyesight, too. These are useful when they are looking for dinner.

The ice melts(融化) in spring and summer. Polar bears will move from the ice to land when the sea ice is mostly gone. But there is not much food for polar bears on land. The ice is melting earlier each year and it is forming later, too. Our earth is getting warmer and there is less sea ice now. This is dangerous for polar bears. The bears are hungry and they need the ice to find food.

Lots of students are too busy doing their homework to help out with housework. So many parents want to know if they should give their children chores.  Chores are good for children.

First, doing chores helps children learn to be independent. Parents can't stay by their children's side all the time.  And these skills will help them be ready for the day when they go to college or take care of their own houses.

When children finish chores, they will not only take pride in the job well done but also have confidence in their ability to do things well.

Third, doing chores makes it possible for children to develop good relationships with their family, friends and partners. Doing chores together with their family can make children care for their family. And they begin to learn their duty in a family or a group. They will know that if they work together as a team, things will be completed quicker and better.

A teenager from Naperville, Illinois, became the youngest American woman to reach the summit(山顶) of Mount Qomolangma.

18-year-old Lucy Westlake reached the summit at 5:40 in the morning. "The trip took 26 days, but every  was meaningful," she wrote on the Internet. "Looking up at the foot of the mountain, it truly looked impossible, but that night we began our climb and 8.5 hours later, we  it! I still can't really believe it."

Jimmy has a long list of jobs to do. Some are quick and easy, so he does those first.The others are so difficult  Jimmy puts them off because he hates those jobs. Soon,he realizes something. He can't put them off forever. So he tries to see them in different way.

First, Jimmy stops using the word "hate". The jobs aren't so terrible after that. Then,he thinks about the reasons for doing them. When Jimmy's mind is ready, he starts work. He takes his list of jobs and puts them in order from the most to least important.Jimmy chooses the top one and starts. He works  a while and then takes a short break. That helps him keep going until he finishes the job.

Everything  gotten much easier ever since. When that happens, Jimmy feels good. That good feeling helps Jimmy succeed.
