"Fine,I'll just do it all myself!" I thought as I stomped(跺脚) away.
My friends and I were trying to make the 1 cardboard(硬纸板) town to play in. We were turning cardboard boxes into shops and playgrounds and all kinds of fun things! 2 we weren't getting along very nicely. I could hear them 3 when I was walking away.
"Wow,I didn't think he would get so 4 ," Katie said. "We are just trying another way and it's fun. "
"Johnny can't do it all by himself," said Max. "Maybe he'll want us to 5 again in a few days. "
Yeah, right. Since it was my idea. I would just do it 6 them. The only problem(问题) was that I must finish it 7 Thanksgiving Day. I wanted to show it to all of my 8 at the Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanksgiving was one week away. I found that the job was too 9 for me. I still needed to make the 10 ,paint them and put them around the town, and decorate(装饰) them. Could I finish 11 by myself?Certainly not.
I guess that's 12 people work together. When we each had a job,it was fun and went much faster. Maybe I should say 13 to Katie and Max. They were just trying to help and have fun with me.
The next day I did so.
"I'm sorry for what I did. Will you 14 to build our town? " I asked.
"Sure,Johnny," they said.
We all took on a role and worked 15 together. The town was finished soon. It was great!

A young man went to the boss of logging crew and asked for a job.
"Let me see you cut down this tree first. " said the boss. The young man took his axe and cut down a big tree in a short time. The boss was happy and said,"You can start the job on Monday. "
Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday went by,and on Thursday afternoon the boss went to the young man and said, "You can get the pay today. "The young man was very surprised. He said,"I thought you would pay me on Friday. ""Usually we do,"the boss said. But I'll let you go today because you fell behind. You dropped from the first place on Monday to the last place today.
"But I work hard. " the young man said, "I am the first to arrive, and the last to leave, and even work when others drink tea!" The boss thought for a minute and asked,"Did you sharpen your axe?" The young man answered,"No,sir,I work so hard that I don't have time for that!"
Our lives are like this. We sometimes get so busy that we don't take time to"sharpen the axe". It is good to work hard. But we all need time to relax,to think,to learn and to grow.
It might be fun to use your smartphone, but be careful. Too much screen time may be harmful to your health.
First,it is had for your eyes. A researcher called Sarah Hinkley says the problem comes from the blue light that the screen gives out. Looking at a smartphone for a long time can cause eye strain (视疲劳), headaches and dry eyes. So it is a good idea to take a break every 15 minutes when you are working at a computer or using a smartphone.
Second, screen use can do harm to children's brains. A new study shows that using screens too much can affect how children's brains grow. If children use screens for more than one hour a day, they might have lower levels of white matter in their brains. White matter is a key to the development of language and reading skills. So it is wise to cut down the time of children using all kinds of screens.
Third, using screens too much will affect your sleep. According to a study, about 95% of the people between the ages of 13 and 64 use electronics (电子产品) before bed, especially the young people under 20. Doctors say that the light from those electronics at night may make you excited before you go to bed. Then it's hard for you to get enough sleep. So you'd better turn off smartphones,TVs,and all other screens an hour before your bedtime.
To keep healthy, doctors and researchers strongly advise that you shouldn't use screens for long hours.
