In a small town, there was a young boy named Ted. He was always curious about how things worked, and loved to take things apart(把……拆开)1 back together. Usually he succeeded, but sometimes he2 . Still,he enjoyed what he did. One day, while he3 his mother cook,he realized how hard it was to stir(搅拌) the sauce. He thought that there must be 4 way to do this, and he decided to think of a better way.
Ted took out his tools and began to work. After a busy afternoon,he created a new invention. He took apart a broken wood mixer(搅拌器) and then connected a motor (电动机),it was able to stir things by itself 5 it got power from the motor. It was so convenient that anyone 6 stir the sauce easily and quickly.
The next day,Ted showed his 7 to his mother. She was 8 and allowed him to spend more time improving it. He tried, failed and then tried again. Finally,he added some new ideas to make it even9 ,like a timer,so that the user could leave the tool on the table and not have to10 the sauce burning.
11 mum's support,Ted decided to bring it to school and introduce it to his eight 12 schoolmates. Suddenly,Ted's invention became a big hit in his school. They used it 13 drinks or stir any kind of sauce at lunch, and it was also easy to clean and store. In School Science Festival,Ted even received 14 prize from the school principal for his creativity and intelligence.
Perhaps not everyone can be an inventor. However,it is always meaningful to15 what you are really interested in and keep going like Ted.
Before Father's Day,I found my father was unhappy because he lost his job. I decided to cheer him up by buying him a special 1 gift.
One day after school,I 2 to a gift shop. I told the shopkeeper that I was looking for a Father's Day present.

Albert Einstein(1879—1955)
Early Life
Albert Einstein was born in 1879 in Germany. He was an extraordinary person since he wasborn. Einstein wasn't able to speak a word until three. He was always interested in things around and full of imagination. He loved watching things carefully and asked a lot of questions about them. His questions were often hard to answer for teachers.
Schooling
Einstein started school in 1885. Though he did well in maths and science,he failed in many subjects like history, geography and languages. Einstein finished high school in Switzerland and entered a university in Zurich. He graduated(大学毕业)as a teacher of maths and physics in 1900.
Scientific Work
After graduation,Einstein worked at the Patent Office. He spent much time studying physics. By 1909,Einstein had become a top scientist. Though he became successful in the field of science,he won the Nobel Prize for physics in 1921.
Later life
Einstein kept at his research until he died in 1955. Scientists studied his brain after his death to see if there was anything special about it. However, there was no answer.
Today, many famous scientists still think Einstein is the smartest man in the world.

Frodo is a 20-year-old cat who loves to sleep in the sun. However, getting to thisfavorite sleeping place by the pool means hobbling(跛行) down a lot of stairs every day.
But life has become a lot easier for the old cat now.
Liam Thompson is an inventor who loves cats. He noticed his old friend's difficulties and decided to do something. He spent four days building an elevator that would allow Frodo to go up and down the stairs easily.
A video on the Internet showed how Thompson made the track and cart of the elevator for Frodo. video attracted over 900,000 people's interest.
To make sure the elevator was safe for his old friend,Thompson used a toy to test the elevator. Thompson asked his favorite cat, "Are you ready to go downstairs without moving a muscle? I hope so because it took me four days. "
Frodo seemed very relaxed in the elevator as it went to the bottom of the stairs. Thompson laughed excitedly as Frodo walked out of the elevator and made his way over the pool.
He said,"This is the greatest day of my life. "His love to his cat has won 1. 87 million fans on the Internet. Many viewers felt amazed at his work and one said,"His invention for his pet is much safer than the ones he invents for himself. Respect. "
Scientists say they recently invented the world's tiniest remote—controlled robots. The robots are small enough to sit on the side of a coin. They don't have any power of their own,and they can be controlled from a distance by using lasers(激光器). The scientists say one day robots like these may be able to work in areas too small for tools. The robots don't move very quickly. But because of their tiny size, they're also not too slow. It takes the robots about 20 seconds to cover 1 centimeter.
Right now the robots aren't all that useful. All they can do is to move, and they need to be in a place where lasers can shine on them to do that. But the scientists say these robots are an important step toward inventing more helpful tiny robots.
The researchers say that one day tiny robots like these might be able to work in very small spaces. It's possible that they could build very tiny machines,or perhaps even travel inside the human body to help do with medical problems.
Using similar building methods, the scientists made a number of different robots, including ones that looked like small insects. John Rodgers, says that their methods allow them to "build walking robots with almost any sizes or 3 D shapes. "
