 Last Sunday evening, my parents went out for a walk with my sister. But I studied alone at home because I would have an English test. Suddenly, I saw bright light in my neighbor's kitchen. I thought he was cooking, so I went on studying.

Soon, there was a terrible smell in the air and I thought something was wrong. I went out and saw fire coming out of my neighbor's kitchen. So I shouted" Fire, Fire!" But no one heard or came out.

I ran quickly to my house to call 911, and then I rang my neighbor's doorbell, knocked at the door, but there was no response. I got into the house through the window and found my neighbor sleeping in his bedroom. I woke him up and we rushed out of the house together.

We tried our best to pour water through the kitchen window, but the fire was too heavy. Luckily, the firemen came and put out the fire quickly. When my parents came back, they found I was dirty and tired. After my neighbor told them the whole story, they were happy and said I was a brave boy.

Europe is one of the most interesting continents(大陆) you can visit. It has a deep- rooted history and welcomes cultures from all over the world. And it's one of the easiest places to travel around with the convenient transportation ( you may take the subway and taxi easily in Europe).

There are several parts of Europe: eastern Europe, northern Europe, southern Europe and western Europe. Among these, the eastern Europe is a good choice for travelers who want to save money. Northern Europe is known for its natural phenomenon(现象)- the Northern Lights. If you want to see them, you need to visit in winter only when conditions are at their best. Southern Europe is made up of all the countries close to Mediterranean Sea and it's known for its natural wonders and ancient history. Western Europe is the most popular part of Europe, and it has lots of famous spots, like the Eiffel Tower, Van Gogh Museum and Big Ben.

If you are backpacking through Europe, the best time to travel is from November to March, when you'll find cheap tickets for planes and hotels. However, if you're planning a ski vacation or you want to visit the

Christmas Markets, you'll find large crowds of travelers. The busiest time of year for Europe is summer. From June to August, travelers from all over the world go to this place to enjoy the good weather.

A lot of people play sports, but very few people become sports professionals(专家). If sports aren't going to be your future, then why should you play them? Why should you train every day? Why should you work hard and feel sore(酸痛的) the next day? Wouldn't it be better to forget sports and only pay attention to your lessons? In fact, there are a lot of reasons to play sports.

First of all, sports are a great way to exercise. Exercising keeps you health y and strong. It also helps you stay in a good condition. When you exercise, your body makes endorphins(安多芬) which give you more energy and make you feel happier.

Also, sports teach young people how to communicate and work as a team. They teach young people to respect(尊重) their coaches, teammates and players from the other team. Many reports say that sports help young people stay out of trouble. If a young person plays sports, he or she may have fewer problems. This is because sports teach people about rules. They also teach people that if they work hard, they might succeed.

Another good way of sports is that they make people leave their houses. These days, a lot of people spend too much time watching television and playing video games. When you play sports, you go outside and exercise in the sun. You take in fresh air. All of these things are important.

All in all, maybe you' re not going to become a sports professional, but that doesn't matter, sports will help you become a better and happier person.

" How are you?" is a friendly greeting.  It often doesn't need an answer. The person who asks" How are you?" expec's to hear the answer "Finè" even if the person isn't fine. The reason is that " How are you?" isn't really a question and " Fine" isn't really an answer. They are common ways of saying " hello" or" hi".

 Sometimes, people don't say exactly what they mean. For example, when someone asks " Do you agree?", the other person may be thinking " No, I don't." It isn't polite to disagree strongly, so he might say," I'm not so sure." 

 People also don't say exactly what they are thinking when they finish talking to other people. For example, many conversations over the phone end when one person says," I've got to go now," or the person who wants to hang up gives an excuse such as " Someone is at the door."  the person who wants to hang up simply doesn't want to talk any more, but it isn't polite to say so. An excuse doesn't hurt the other person's feelings.

Whether they are greeting each other or ending a conversation, people often don't say exactly what they are thinking.

The quickest way to make  friend is to smile. If you do so, people think you're friendly. At first, it may not be easy to smile. However, remember that nobody ( like) a long or cold face

One easy way to talk with people is to say something nice about them. Just think about  you feel when someone says something nice about you. Doesn't it make you want to keep  ( talk) with a person?

Ask ( you) new friends questions about them. Who's their favorite singer? Where do they live? Who's their teacher or what do they do after school? Sometimes you can make friends  ( easily) if you ask more questions.

Last weekend, my parents and I went snowboarding in a village. Early in the morning, we were standing on the  of a mountain." I can't wait . See you later at the hotel!" shouted Mom, and she quickly went down the mountain. Dad and I  carefully for many times before we get started. But when we got to the hotel, we found Mom wasn't there. Dad said  but took out his phone and called Mom, only to find Mom has hurt her foot and can't walk.

In the end, Dad and I found Mom at the foot of the hill. She was cold and  she was in the Arctic(北极) .
