Emilio Santana is a fourteen-year-old boy. He is a ninth grader. He spends two hours a day playing 1 every day. He has been preparing 2 something since the third grade.
He was at the beach. A little girl at the beach was going to the 3 . She took her hat off and her hair went with 4 . Italy has many old people. One in four are over 65 years old. Emma Maria Mazzenga is over 90. She is the fastest runner in her age group. She ran 200 meters in S1. 47 seconds. It is a new world record. She has five world records and many European and Italian records. She hopes to go to the world championships (锦标赛) in Sweden next year. ____
The two baby monkeys are new to the London Zoo. They are new to the world. And the most surprising thing is: they are only around 3cm, very small. They are the smallest monkeys in the world, called Pygmy Marmoset. They are only 10-15 cm when they grow up. They can be found in the Amazon. They are easy to die (死) in the wild. Nicolas made a bet (打赌) with one of his best friends to make the tallest rideable bicycle. The two spent around three months preparing for the bike. And they spent almost two years building it. Konchog Rapten is ten years old. He is in the fifth grade. His school stands as the highest school in the town. It is in Nyingchi, Xizang autonomous region (自治区). It is about 4, 000 meters above sea level (海平面).
The school is now holding 397 students. Most of the students are from alpine pastoral regions (高寒牧区). Some of them live more than 50 kilometres away. As a result, most students choose to live at the school during the school year.
The school is filled with modern facilities (设施). It has indoor and outdoor basketball courts and two soccer fields. Every classroom has a smart touch-screen computer.
To make it easier for students to travel to/from school, the school has a special timetable. Students go to school for ten days and then enjoy a four-day break. For Konchog Rapten, this is perfect during the summer. It is when the family moves to the pasture (牧场). He helps his father with the animals and his mother with her work. "If there is no boarding (寄宿), it would be very difficult to do well in both school and daily life," the father says. He added that their summer pasture is about an hour's drive to school.
Every day, after washing up and having breakfast in the morning, Konchog Rapten begins his day of study with his classmates. They have all their breakfasts, lunches and dinners at school. They also enjoy snacks like bread, fruit and yogurt during breaks. After evening self-study classes, students go to bed before 10 p. m.
Farmers Need Help
А group of UK farmers started a campaign (运动) asking large supermarkets to stop "farmwashing", which means using labels (标签) to make shoppers think the food is from small UK farms. The campaign, called Farmers Against Farmwashing, wants UK supermarkets to supports local farmers.
The farmers said that supermarkets are using farm-style names to make the shoppers think that the food is from the UK farms. But in fact, they are from large farms outside UK. In July, a survey (调查) of 202 farmers showed that 61% were worried and they might give up their farms in 18 months because they were not making enough money. Only 25% of them believed that supermarkets would help them. Still others worried that if they spoke out their worries, the local supermarket would not do business with them.

Guy Watson, who is leading the campaign, said farmers already had problems of changeable weather and rising costs (money that farmers put into growing and making food), they really need help. He said, "it's time for supermarkets and people to listen."
