Hi Sergi! There is no desk in my room. I study with my brother Andy at the dinner table in the living room. There are two pencil boxes on the table. The blue one is mine. And the yellow one is Andy's. In my pencil box there is a black eraser and some pencils. A ruler is also in it. My brother's pencil box is closed. He won't let me open it. Next to his pencil box is a student ID card. It's not mine. It's my brother's. | |

A library is a very good place. Nearly every place has a library, like a city, a town, a school, even a small village. Libraries are here and there in the world.
Our school has a library. It's not big but clean and tidy. There are different kinds of books, magazines, dictionaries and CDs in it. The chairs and desks are nice and the teachers are friendly to students. All the students in our school enjoy reading in the library. There are four small reading rooms in the library. There is also a big one. Every room has many books. Some are in Chinese, and others are in English. We can read and do our homework there. We often read with the help of our teachers because some books are too difficult for us. My classmates and I are getting ready to read now. Reading books helps us a lot.
You see, a library is always ▲ because it can open our eyes to the outside world.
What does a day look like for a high school student in the United States? Well,I can tell you about my day in high school.
Our schoolday goes from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Sometimes I have cheerleading(啦啦队活动) practice or play practice at 6:30 am. If I have time,I eat breakfast at the school dining room.
Then I go towards my locker(锁柜) and take my books for the first period. Each class goes for about 50 minutes and we have 10 minutes to get to the next class. We study many things, such as science, maths, French and PE.
I play the piano in a band, so one of my class periods is used for that. Lunchtime is usually at 12:30 pm, and then we have some time to hang out outside or by our lockers. At the end of the day there is a seminar (研讨会) period. It is used for studying or meetings.
After school, I cheer at a basketball game, or have speech practice. My family always try to have dinner at around 7:00 pm, but there isn't always time. I finally start doing homework at around 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm.
So there you have it! That's my day in high school.

But little Will thought it was impossible. After a year and a half, they did it. "You say,'I'm going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid.' You do that every single day. And soon you have a wall, "he said on a TV show.

Emma looked out of the window, thinking about her little horse, Sunny. At the same time, the other students were excitedly sharing their dreams for the future in the class meeting.
1 Mrs. James called out. "Emma! Can you tell us what you want to do when you grow up?"
"Em... I haven't thought about it yet, "Emma 2 back and said.
"What are you interested in, Emma? "asked Mrs. James.
"I really like riding horses, and my little horse Sunny brings me so much3 , "Emma said. "But what can I do with that in the future? "

Emma's mouth fell open. "What a life that is, "she thought. At that moment, Emma could see her6 . She was going to be a vet and take care of horses, too!

Gwen walked into the gym(体育馆) for her next basketball class. The coach asked each girl to join team. There (be) six girls each team. But Gwen didn't know any of her teammates. All of her friends were in the other (team). She was sad. "I feel ill. May I go to the doctor?" asked Gwen. The coach could see through the (girl) excuse(借口). So he refused. Find a new hobby. You may not be having as much as you want because you feel like you' re doing the same old thing day after day. It will not only provide something to look forward to in your daily life , but it will also make you more open to new ideas.
Experts(专家) suggest that music helps reduce(减少) stress and improves your feelings. Every time you feel stressed, turn on a song you like to reduce your stress. By doing so, you will make it a part of your daily activities which will improve your feelings.
Take a trip together. Travel is great for your health. and try to improve your relation ships with the people you travel with. Travel doesn't have to be big. It can be taking a road trip just a few hours away.
Take the time to enjoy a little game from time to time. Even just playing the game-Rock Paper Scissors while you' re at your desk will make your study day a little more fun.
Even busy with your study, it's still important to find time for fun. It makes your life not so boring.
