One winter morning after breakfast, I went to the garden and was very surprised. I saw my father's big footprints in the snow. I knew those footprints well. I didn't know what to do—I need help.
When I got back to my room, I opened the door. And there was my father, sitting on my bed!
The man sitting on my bed was about fifty and had long, dirty black hair and a black beard(胡须)—he was my father. His clothes were very old and dirty, and his face was terribly white and thin. His shoes had holes in them and his hat did, too. He looked terrible.
" I see you're wearing nice new clothes, " he said, looking at me.
" Widow Douglas bought them for me, " I said.
" And look at this nice bed and soft blankets(毛毯), and I have to sleep with the pigs!" he said. " I know that she's sending you to school, and you probably think you're better than your father, don't you?"
" Maybe I do and maybe I don't, " I answered without thinking.
" Remember, Huck, I'm your father, not that Widow Douglas, " he cried, looking at me angrily. " Now I'm here and you're my son again, and sons do what their fathers tell them. I've never been to school and your mother couldn't read or write when she died. You don't need to learn anything. I don't want to see you near a school! Is that clear?" ①It is widely known that China has the best high-speed railway network (网络) in the world. Now, the country is breaking its own speed(速度) record with CR450.
②CR450 can travel at 400 kilometers per hour on average, with a top speed hitting 453km/h. Before this, the fastest high-speed train operating in a rail network in the world is China's CR400, which runs at 350 km/h on average. Once put into use, for example, the CR450 will shorten the travel time from Beijing to Shanghai to just about two and a half hours, which takes at least four and a half hours at the moment.
③"The key is not to make the train run fast but to have it brake (刹车) accurately (精准地) and steadily (平稳地), " Zhao Hongwei of the China Academy of Railway Sciences told CCTV News. The standard is that the CR450 should have the same brake distance as the CR400, which is 6, 500 meters, even though it travels a lot faster. It can also start braking more quickly, taking just 1. 7 seconds compared to the 2. 3 seconds needed for the CR400.
④The engineers did lots of tests with the brakes to make the system better. In the tests, the brake disc (制动盘) got really hot, reaching temperatures of up to 700℃. Its color changed from black to red. The changes were then recorded. All the data were saved in a smart system to make a digital model of the brake system for calculations (计算).
⑤Besides having a better braking system, the CR450 has the same noise level as the CR400. Moreover, it is 12 percent lighter and 20 percent less energy-consuming (耗能的), according to CCTV News. With all its advantages, people are getting excited about the train's debut (首次亮相), which is planned to be within this year.

How to make friends at a new school
Starting with a new school can be difficult. Everything seems to be different, and you don't even know where to go for your own classes. However, if you follow the advice, you can quickly turn some of those strangers into friends.
Be yourself.
If some people don't accept you, they're not the kind of friends you need. People often stay together because they have similar interests. For example, someone who does a lot of sport may make friends with those who also run or swim a lot.
Believe in yourself.
A smile goes a long way. When you walk in the halls, don't keep your eyes on the floor. Raise your head and make eye contact with other people. Introduce yourself. Tell them your name and where you're from.
Remember people's names.
You like it when people use your name, and so do other people. Besides, ask them in a kind way if they have a nickname(昵称). You'd be surprised how often this might come in handy.

Taihang Grand Canyon National Forest Park is a natural wonder. It lies in the part of Huguan County. There are some sweet springs, silver waterfalls, clear and interesting caves there.
I always remember the journey going there. In the early morning, we began to the canyon. At , the canyon was silent. With more and more people coming, the canyon became noisy. There were so many trees and we didn't know most of them. Some signs along the paths told us something about different sights. We heard the loud waterfalls far away from them. When we got near, we cool at once. The waterfalls were high and pretty. We also visited some other sights and had great fun there.
Buma Musical Festival, started by a band named wild sounds in 2021 is to help Yi students to go to school. (最近), this band has received much attention on the Internet.
During a trip to Meigu, a village in the (东北) of Yi autonomous prefecture, They met some local boys. "Their clothes were old and dirty, but their eyes were （充满的）of kindness and hope, " said Chisha, who started the band. "Students there have trouble (上学) school and can't get higher education. They even meet with varied kinds of (困难，困境) when they just want to get out of their hometown. "

Deng Qingming is a Chinese astronaut. He finally entered Tiangong Space Station by Shenzhou-15 in November, 2022 after 25 years' hard work. He is working with his teammates to carry out (task) in space.
The hard-working student was born in a poor village has become an astronaut finally. When he was young, he used every minute (study) in his daily life. As a hard-working student, Deng joined the PLA Air Force in June 1984 and started to train a pilot(飞行员) at a flight college in Hebei Province.
