You want to live a happier life? Try laughing for no reason. That's how many people start their day at Laughter Yoga (瑜伽) Clubs around the world, and many doctors now think that having a good laugh might be one of the best ways to stay healthy.
The first Laughter Yoga Club was started in Mumbai, India, in 1995 by Dr. Madan Kataria. "Young children laugh about 300 times a day. Adults laugh between 7 and 15 times a day," says Dr. Kataria."Everyone is naturally good at laughing. We want people to feel happy with their lives."
A study at the UCLA School of Medicine in California shows that laughter reduces stress (减缓压力) and is very good for the heart. Laughter Yoga is used in many hospitals for the illness treatment and it is also practiced in schools, factories and old people's homes.
So what is Laughter Yoga? I went to my nearest Laughter Yoga Club to find out. I was quite nervous about it, I didn't like the idea of laughing with others. First, our laughter teacher told us to clap our hands and say, "Ho ho ho, ha ha ha." He said our bodies can't tell the difference between fake laughter and real laughter, so they both work. After ten minutes everybody in the room was laughing for real! We did different kinds of laughter exercises and finally I was surprised by how relaxed I felt.
So if you're sad about something, just start laughing. As Dr. Kataria says, "When you laugh, you change, and when you change, the world around you changes."
a. Nervous b. Surprised c. Sad d. Relaxed
Now students' English handwriting gets worse. That makes their teachers feel worried. Is your English handwriting beautiful? If not, here are some steps that really work.
Use paper with lines.
When you write English words or sentences, you can use paper with lines. That will make your handwriting straight. Those lines on the paper can help you to write words in the right size. Be sure to fill the lined space completely. And make sure those capital letters are written properly.
Slow down.
If your writing is hard to read, just slow down a little. Going slower makes your handwriting clearer. If you write too quickly, it's hard for you to stop where you should, and you may make more mistakes easily.
Hold your pen right.
When you hold your pen in the correct way, writing is much better. Some kids press down really hard when they write. That makes the handwriting bad. Try to be relaxed and don't hold the pen so hard. Let your writing appear nice and clean. If you do so, people will guess you are a student with a good habit.
Draw more pictures.
Drawing can improve your handwriting. While you are drawing pictures, you need to use the skills to control your pen better. Even though you have no chance to draw at school, you can practise by drawing at home. Handwriting is very important. Imagine (想象) you are a famous movie star or a well-known sports player, what do you do when your fans run up to you? Give them your autographs (亲笔签名), of course!
①Recently, a short video series named Escape (逃离) from the British Museum came out on Bilibili and became a big hit in Chinese network. The video tells the story of how a Chinese relic escapes from the British Museum and finds its way back to China. A girl acts the role of an ancient Chinese jade (玉石) teapot. The teapot came alive and tried to find a way home. Later, she happened to meet a reporter on the street. The reporter's black eyes and yellow skin made her feel warm. With the help of this reporter, she finally went back to China. After returning home, the teapot quickly visited local museums and read "letters" written by other relics that are still in the British Museum.
②"My family, I have been lost for a long time," and "One day, I will finally be back." are lines (台词) in those letters. They moved the viewers deeply.
③The series were made by two Chinese young vloggers. They got this idea at the beginning of this year from a suggestion online. It advised creating a cartoon about relics coming to life and returning for Chinese New Year.
④They turned this idea into a video and stayed in the U.K. for three months, looking for information and making it. They said they are so glad that people are caring more about those Chinese cultural relics in the British Museum. That is also what they really want to do—making the young people care more about Chinese culture and history.
⑤In fact, some other countries also share the same calls for the return of their relics. Many African and Asian countries questioned about the rights for the British Museum to hold their relics as well. ____

Long long ago a man went to India and he had never been there before. When he got there, he saw a lot of 1 , but much of it was expensive because they couldn't grow much for there was little water.2 he saw a big basket of some very red and long fruit. And it was the 3 in the shop.
He 4 and asked, "How much is each kilo?" and the shop keeper said, "Two rupees (卢比)." Two rupees in India was 5 . So he bought a whole kilogram of the fruit and started eating it. But after he ate some of it, oh, my god, his 6 watered, his mouth watered and burnt, and his face became red. He jumped up and 7 , saying, "Ah! Ah! Ah!"
But he still continued to eat the fruit! Some people who were looking at 8 shook their heads and said, "You're 9 , man. Those are chilies (辣椒)! You can't eat so many! People use them as a condiment (调料), but only a little bit to put into food for 10 . You can't just eat them like that."11 the silly man said, "No, I can't stop! I paid money for them, and now I'll eat them up. It's my money!"
And you think that man was silly, right? We sometimes do a lot of things like that. We 12 money, time or effort doing something. And even though it's been a long time. Hard experience tells us it won't 13 . And we know there's no more hope, we 14 continue just because we've put money, time, effort and love into it, just like the man who ate the chilies and felt so bad but couldn't 15 because he didn't want to waste the money he'd paid.
