    There was a gentle old man who lived with a servant in a small house. One evening, he was sitting by the fire. Suddenly there was a loud knock at the door .A man with long hair and dirty clothes appeared. The man was in his forties and very strong. He carried a beg and a walking stick

    "I am Valjean," said the stranger. "I've been walking for four days, and I desperately need a place to rest. Can you help me?" "Sit down and warm yourself, sir." said the old man. After a big meal, Valjean began to relax and look around the small house. The old man was not rich, but he could toe a valuable set of silver knives, forks and candlesticks at the table .Then be noticed the servant put them in a cupboard.

    Valjean was so tired that he fell asleep soon .He woke up only a few hours later .He thought of his past Life was terribly unfair to him. In 1975, be lost his job and had no money to support his sister and her seven children.

    He was caught stealing bread and lost the best nineteen years of his life for that Valjean wanted the world to pay him back He got out of bed and moved carefully around the house .He put the silver knives and forks into his bag and escaped

    The next morning for policemen and Valjean came back to the house. "Sir," said the police, "We caught the man with some valuable silver knives. Are they yours?"

    The old man smiled at Valjean, "Dear friend, you forged to take these silver candlesticks. They will bring you more money.”

    Valjean and the police's eyes widened. "Sir, are you saying that you gave these silver things to this man?" asked the police. "Yes, you must let him go." Then the police left. The old men walked close to Valjean and said. "Now you mast use this money to make yourself an honest man. You are free now."

    Valjean walked into the countryside feeling confused. When the world was unfair to him and he was so angry, things made sense to him He sat down on a rock, and for the first time nineteen years, he cried.
