Earth Hour started in Sydney on March 31st, 2007. Till now, it has ltwelve years. It advises people to turn off the lights for an hour on the last Saturday night of March in order to save eand improve climate (气候) . A year later, Earth Hour ba world's activity and was supported (支持) by millions of people from thirty-five countries. On March 28, 2010, over 2100 cities in another eight countries joined in it. Earth Hour came to China on that day.
In 2012 in China, there were many cities taking part in this activity, esome large cities, such as Beijing and Shanghai. Many people in these cities consciously (有意识的) turned off lights in the hour. And wlights, they could also enjoy themselves. In colleges some students held some activities to make all the students ltheir dormitories (宿舍).
It was 20: 30, Beijing time. Some people in Beijing were having a nice talk with their friends. In Shanghai some people were taking a walk with their families ofriends. And in Ningbo some young people were holding a party in a park, sand dancing. The people from the three cities felt very r.
We may have different ways to spend Earth Hour, for example, we can go to school on foot or by bike, plant more trees and so on, but the pis the same, that is focusing on (聚焦) climate change and protecting the environment.
