Chinese clay (陶土) art is famous because the clay pieces are so small but they look very real. The pieces are usually lovely children or lively characters from a Chinese historical story. The pieces are (careful) shaped (塑形)by hand from a very special kind of clay and then allowed to air-dry. They are then painted. It takes several weeks (complete) everything.
