You can't have heard of "Family Fun Day" before, as it is a holiday created by my husband and myself for our children a few years ago. The point of Family Fun Day is to celebrate the fun of being a family in simple ways. It can be on any day. Instead, we think about new, interesting ways to have fun together and make our children know that they are special to us. What do we do on that day? In the morning, we create a restaurant with colorful menus. We don't tell the children which day Family Fun Day is, but they know the minute they see the restaurant. After a nice breakfast we do a few simple activities that our children love to do, such as going to the park, having a picnic or playing ball games. There is no housework and no calls from the office on Family Fun Day. Family Fun Day is simple, fun and useful. We just want to make our children know that we love them and that we value our time together as a family.
