Longago, people lived happily under the rule of a king. The people of the country were very happy as they led a very rich life with a great deal of wealth and 1troubles.
Once, the king decided to go visiting places of historical centres at places far away. He decided to travel 2to meet this people. People far away were very happy to have a talk with their king. They were 3that their king had a kind heart.
After several weeks of travel, the king 4the palace. He was quite happy that he had visited many historical centres and found his people leading a happy and rich life. However, he was unhappy with one thing.
He had great pain in his feet as it was his first time to cover a long way by foot. He told his ministers that the roads weren't comfortable and that they were very stony. He said that he was very much 5 the people who had to walk along those roads every day as it would be 6 for them too! So he ordered his servants to cover the roads in the whole country 7 leather sothat the people of his country can walk 8 .
The king's ministers were surprised to hear his order 9 it would mean that thousands of cows would have to be 10 in order to get enough leather. And it would cost a huge amount of money also.
Finally, a wise minister came to the king and said that they 11 do that because he had came up with 12 idea. The king asked what it was. The minister said, "Instead of covering the 13 with leather, why don't you just havea piece of leather cut in right shape to cover your feet?"
The king was excited with his 14 and accepted it. He ordered a pair of leather shoes for 15 and asked all his countrymen also to wear shoes.
