On Jan. 23, 2020, Wuhan was locked down. Hua Yuchen, a music teacher in Wuhan saw a notice on WeChat (look) for volunteers to fight the virus. She joined at once.
"At first, I had no idea kind of work I was going to do," Hua said. "But I knew I must do (anything) for my hometown, though I'm just a common person and can't save many people's lives doctors do."
Having been a volunteer in Wuhan more than 30 days, Hua sent medical workers to and work and carried goods at a hospital. Also, she (take) the temperatures of drivers at toll(收费) stations.
"The other volunteers did (well) than me," Hua said. "While working with them, I felt they passed courage(勇气) by one."
Hua said she wanted (share) her volunteer experience with her students. She will talk to them about the things they should do when the epidemic is over.
