Tina loves running. She (practise) running since she was very young. She always takes part in school races. Winning is very important to Tina. She runs hard every day, has never won the championship.
Another girl named Janice always wins the (one) prize. Tina can't get past her. Tina often thinks to (her), "If I could just get in front of Janice, I would have a chance to win". Finally, in one race, Tina got the break she wanted.
It began like usual, with Janice in the lead. Suddenly, Janice (catch) her foot on a rock and fell over. Tina ran as (quick) as she could to stay in the lead, but Janice ran even (fast) and soon passed her. It went on like this until the very last minute.
That day, Tina learned that one shouldn't depend the bad luck of others to (success) in life. You will not get the first place you work hard.
