A group of boys gathered around a tree. "What a tall tree!" they said to each other." It would be1to climb to the top!"
The group of boys then decided to play a game to see who could climb to the top of the tree first. Their2were sitting not far away, looking on at their children as they played.
One of the climbers was an 8-year-old boy named David. He was the3 child in the group. Nobody thought he would win the competition.
Then the game started. All of the boys tried their best to4as high as they could. Although they all made it halfway up the tree before David did, he reached the top of the tree fastest in the end.
His mother was5to see this. She asked him, "David, how did you manage to reach the top of the tree so6?"
"It was easy," David said. "The other children kept7as they climbed. When they realized how high they were, they got scared and were afraid of falling down. I, however,8looked up. When I saw how close I was, I kept going9until I reached the top."

Have you ever climbed a tree? When was the last time you took a walk in a park? When you're busy with schoolwork, you may have no time to spend outdoors. However, it can actually be bad for your mental health. The World Health Organization reported that more than 450 million people around the world have some kind of mental disorder(精神疾病).
According to researchers from Aarhus University in Denmark, children who spend more time outside are less likely to have mental disorders later in life. They mapped the amount of "green space"" around the homes of 1 million Danes(丹麦人) who were born between 1985 and 2003.They compared this data with the risk of developing different mental disorders later in life. They found that people who grow up in "green" areas are 55 percent less likely to develop mental disorders in adulthood.
Having more green space in a particular area means there are probably fewer roads and less pollution. This gives more chances for people to exercise and interact with each other. Simply being in a green area outside can help people relax and release pressure. All of these factors can have an impact on mental health, lead scientist Kristine Engelmann told Science Daily.

What would you say about Shenzhen? Young, modern, exciting ... these all seem to be the right words.
Forty years ago, Shenzhen was just a small fishing village. On Aug 26,1980, it became China's first Special Economic Zone(SEZ,经济特区).Everything has changed since then.
People built tall buildings. On Sept 4, 1984, Shenzhen finished building the International Trade Center. It was China's tallest building at that time. The world was surprised at how fast people built it. It took only three days to build one new floor. This speed later became known as "Shenzhen speed" and showed the city's high efficiency(效率).
The city also got the nickname of China's "Silicon Valley". In the 1990s, Shenzhen decided to make technology one of its main industries. Many companies that make electronic products, such as TVs, computers and mobile phones, have come to Shenzhen. The city is home to many large tech companies, including Huawei and Tencent.
Because of its fast development, people from all over China came to Shenzhen to make their dreams come true. According to economist(经济学家)Zhang Weiying, of about 20 million people in Shenzhen,65 percent of them were born or grew up elsewhere, but no one feels like an outsider. As the famous saying goes, "you become a Shenzhener once you come to Shenzhen".
