    Eileen Gu has rewritten history, and not only once. In just 24 hours, the Chinese teenage skier won three medals, including two golds, in three events at her first Winter X-Game(世界极限运动会冬季赛). She became the first Chinese athlete in history to win a gold in the event.

    Just about one year before the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing are set to begin, the17-year-old rising star has fixed her eyes on winning golds on home snow. If she continues such great form(状态),it would be surprising to no one if Gu one day found herself becoming the next Chinese sports idol(偶像).

    Born on September 3, 2003, in the U. S, Gu has an American father and a Chinese mother She had her first taste of skiing when she was only three years old. She began to join in international competitions on behalf of(代表)the U. S. since 2017. In 2019, Gu made a major change in her life. She changed her nationality from the U. S. to China.
