Sarah came to China with her parents three years ago. She has been studying in a middle school in Shanghai since then. She was new here at first. She didn't know anyone and she couldn't speak Chinese. But everyone in her class (对待)her friendly. Now they are friends. Last night, Sarah wrote an e-mail to Cindy, one of her(亲戚) in Tennessee.
Dear Cindy, How are you? Today I want to tell you something about China. At (现在),China has the largest population in the world . But don't worry! The Chinese have a lot of room. It's the (三)largest country in the world in size. Chinese people celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and enjoying mooncakes , because they think mooncakes are full of (情感) . They also (承载) people's wishes to the families they love and miss. . People can see Chinese dragons on the streets during Spring Festival. They also fly dragon-shaped kites in the sky and ride in dragon-shaped boats during dragon boat (比赛). In Yunnan Province the Dai people has a special festival called the Water Festival. At that time ,people always go on the streets to (泼)water at each other ,Chinese people believe it is a time for cleaning and (洗走)away bad things. China has hundreds of funny (民间的) stories.
