Dear Miss Yu,
I'm Linda. I'm writing this letter because I want to tell you that the school year I spent with you was special to me.
I used to be very shy and quiet. You never said much to me. But you did something that made a big difference to my life.
In the past, I hated English. I didn't think it was interesting. And my English was very poor. In Grade 9, you became my English teacher. You always made your classes lively and interesting. I found it easy to remember what you taught us. Once I was asked to introduce myself in English. Because of my poor English, I 'didn't do it well. And I felt very bad. To my surprise, you didn't say anything bad but told me if I worked hard on my pronunciation, I would do better. Your encouragement changed me a lot. From then on, I began to study English very hard.
Now, I enjoy studying English. My dream is to become an English teacher. I want to help students study English like you.
