Here is a book that is easy to read but is on a big subject. The book is named Animal Farm. It is a story about farm animals. They can't stand the farmer, Mr. Jones.
Animal Farm is an excellent book for learners of English because it's very short. But remember, the book may seem simple, but it is very serious about the real world. George Orwell called his book a fairy tale. But not all fairy tales are simple or innocent (单纯的). The book is really about Russia in the dark.
The book became very famous in the West from the late 1940s. From very early it was made into other kinds of works. You could hear it on the radio made by the BBC in 1947.
Whatever you think about the book, Orwell did create a wonderful story in a clever way.
