29-year-old Shi Yilong has done many different jobs before, like being a sports player, director (导演), driver ... And now he is doing something new.
Shi started to learn rollerblading ( 直排轮滑) when he was 15. Then he won the second prize in a world competition at age 17. When he was 23, he started learning skateboarding ( 滑板运动). He found he was very interested in the new sport."As soon as I got on the skateboard, I felt I was free,"Shi said.
However, skateboarding was not very popular at that time. And Shi couldn't find a place to practice and a good skateboarder to learn from. So Shi and his friends decided to learn from videos. To help others who are interested in skateboarding learn more about the sport, Shi now makes videos by himself.
As the sport is becoming popular, Shi has more places to practice. When he goes to a place with his skateboard, he often meets people with the same hobby. He makes friends with some of them. Thanks to his love for the sport, Shi has even started his own company (公司).
Skateboarding is an important part of Shi's life."If you do one thing for many years, you will have your rewards,"Shi said. "I have done what I love for many years. From a poor boy to a person with his own company, all I have got comes from love."
