My brother and I often fight with each other because of small things. My mother is worried about that. One day our mother said to1seriously, "Tomorrow we will take part in the Ray Home Sports Day. Both of you must go with me. Perhaps you can learn2from those children." My brother laughed. "Mom, Ray is a home3physically disabled(身体残疾). What can we learn from them?" "You will see," our mother said.
Our mother4as a volunteer at Ray. The children there have problems with their hands, speech, hearing5walking. Every day, she spends hours6them to move or exercise their legs or arms.
The following day, she took us to Ray Home.7we got there, we found a nice place to sit down. Finally the sports began. There was a 50-metre race. All the runners were physically disabled. As the race started, all the children moved as8as they could. Just then, one of the girls fell down. She began to scream(尖叫) at the top of her voice.
All the disabled children stopped to help the poor girl. Then they all9hands and finished the race together. My brother and I were surprised at this: the children weren't interested in winning the race—they were10in helping each other to finish the race.
