438 Days is the true story of a fisherman named Salvador Alvarenga. The man survived(幸存) more than a year in a small boat moving about without any destination(目的地) some seven thousand miles from Mexico across the Pacific Ocean.
On 17 November 2012, Alvqrenga left the coast of Mexico for a weekend fishing trip in the open Pacific .Because of a big storm ,he lost his way at sea. However, Alvarenga didn't give up and tried his best to live on the boat. Fourteen months later, on 30 January 2014, Alvarenga, who was really weak, was washed on an island on the far side of the Pacific and was saved by some people who lived there.
