Once there was a little elephant. On the third day after he was born, the little elephant took a walk with his mother on the banks (河岸) of a river, and there he saw a bird in the sky flying here and there. The little elephant said, "If I could fly, I would see even more things. It would be great!"
In order to learn to fly, the little elephant climbed up a tree and with a yelp(尖叫)of "Ai Yo!", he fell heavily to the ground. Seeing this, a snake said, "Little elephant, we all have our own abilities. I can't fly, but I can sleep ina tree. "A lion said, "I can't fly, either, but I can jump across a wide river." A tiger said," I can't fly, but I can swim!" The little elephant's father and mother said to him, "We elephants have great strength, and it's greater than that of little birds." The little elephant understood. He used his long nose as a hook (钩子) and a large branch was taken away.
Sometimes we are like the little elephant. Maybe we can't do everything well, but we can do well something by using what we have. So don't envy(羡慕) others, and learn to find your own advantages.
