There is a fox and a stork living near a river. One day, the fox asks the stork to come to his home for dinner. The stork is very happy, because she always thinks the fox doesn't like her. She goes to the fox's home on time and knocked on the door with her long beak.
The fox takes her to the dinner table. There is some soup in two shallow bowls for them to eat. But because the bowl is too shallow for the stork, she can't use his beak to eat any of the soup. The fox, however, eat up his soup fast and laughs at the stork.
The stork is very angry, but she doesn't show her anger. She thanked the fox for his delicious soup. And for that, the stork also asks the fox for dinner at her house the next day.
When the fox gets to the stork's house, he sees delicious soup in two tall narrow vases. The stork's long beak makes it easy for her to drink the soup form the vase. But the fox can't reach the soup because his neck was too short. The fox knows what the stork means. Feeling ashamed, the fox leaves.
