Some people think housework is just for women, but Tom thinks differently. He thinks everyone in the family should share housework. He has a strong sense （观念） of fairness. Tom is a 28-year-old engineer. As an engineer, he is often busy with his work. However, he still tries to do some housework at home. When he was young, Tom did all kinds of chores by himself. It gave him a sense of duty （责任） and a feeling of happiness to help with housework. Tom often helps his mother do the dishes, sweep the floor, clean tables and wash clothes. Tom is good at cooking meals, too. So when his mother doesn't feel well, Tom does the cooking. His uncle, Bob, often asks, "Could you please come to my home to cook beef and potatoes？" When Tom cooked the dish for the first time, his uncle said it was almost as delicious as that cooked at a five﹣star restaurant. Tom also likes working in his father's garden on weekends. He thinks working in the garden is one of the best ways to exercise.
