The spring festival is the most important holiday for Chinese people. On that day, people would come back home and get together their family. So it becomes the (busy) time of the year. Chinese people (celebrate) the Spring Festival about 4,000 years ago.
Before the Spring Festival comes, people do lots of preparations like cleaning the rooms and (shop) in the stores. They also put two big red lanterns (灯笼) on both sides of the front door for about half month.
Spring Festival Eve is the most important. At that time, all family members eat dinner happily together. The meal is much (big) than usual. After the dinner, they don't go to bed they see the New Year come. The next morning, people wear new clothes, especially red ones. It is a great time (visit) their friends and their relatives. Children get lucky money from their parents and their relatives. When people meet, they say "Happy New Year" to each other. They also give their best (wish). All the people enjoy (they) during such a wonderful festival, and the festival can bring happiness and luck for the next year.
