Do you know about the history of the Egyptian coastal city of Alexandria?<br />Yes, I know something about it.<br />Alexander the Great established the city more than 2,000 years ago.<br />It's a really old city.<br />You can say so.<br />It has survived invasions, fires, and earthquakes in the past 2,000 years.<br />But now Alexandria faces severe flooding<br />from rising waters blamed on climate change.<br />That's really bad.<br />It's such an important city.<br />Yes, it is Egypt's second largest city with more than 5 million people.<br />It is also an important port and home to about 40% of Egypt's industrial activity.<br />But the city is surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea<br />and sits next to a lake.<br />With climate change, it now is often stricken by floods.<br />I heard it experienced a natural disaster in 2015.<br />That's true.
