1. (2024七下·夹江期中)  完形填空

The school sports club tryouts(选拔赛) are today. The track team (田径队)wants 1 good runners this term. Harry 2 to be one of them. It's 5:00 am. Getting up so early to exercise is not 3 for Harry, but he still gets up. 

At 10:00 am, the track team tryouts begin. Harry is trying his best to run when a runner next to him falls over (跌倒). Harry goes to 4 him, but unluckily, Harry comes in third place at last. 

"Good boy, Harry! But I'm 5 to tell you that you can't join the track team this time," Mr Green, a PE teacher, says. 

Harry is not happy to know that but he doesn't want to give up (放弃). 

"Well, it's time for the 6 team tryouts," Mr Green says. "How about giving it a try?"

"That's good!" Harry says. 

Then Harry 7 fast and has fun playing with the ball. 

At last, Mr Green says, "This is the team: Charlie, John, Tim, Harry . . . "

Getting up for the early 8 pays off(得到回报). Harry is happy that he is in a team. Being a football player is also great for him!
