Picking tea (叶子) is an important spring activity in South China. The earliest batch of tea is often ready (在……之前) Qingming Festival. It's often in early April when the temperature begins to rise and rainfall increases. This great small output of tea is (称作) Mingqian tea.
Zhejiang Province is a (主要的) producer of tea. West Lake Longjing Tea in Hangzhou and White Tea in Huzhou are two well-known types of tea at home and (在国外). In spring, local hillsides are filled with tea workers working on the land. In the peak seasons, lots of tourists rush to enjoy a cup of the (最新鲜的) tea while seeing the wonderful scenery of tea farms.
(千) of years ago, by the hands of the Chinese, a leaf was brewed into a delicious drink. It has traveled a long way and continues to (扮演) a role in our life, even today.
