When I was young, I liked to show how good I was in front of others. However, an accident happened. And it taught me 1 important lesson.
One day, my friend Annie and I 2 our bikes. I was only a bike beginner. Because of this, my mother asked me 3 some equipment(装备) before we left. "No, I won't wear", I said, pointing at my 4 knees. "Oh, mother! You see. Annie doesn't wear it 5 !" "It can be dangerous," Annie said. "You need more practice." "Come on! I can ride 6 than you!" I said. Annie made a face, "Let's wait and see!"
After a while, I saw a path into the woods. "Let's race!" I shouted 7 started to ride towards the wood. The path was not as smooth as I thought. And suddenly…bam! I fell 8 my bike. My knees got hurt. Annie quickly helped me up. "Be more 9 next time," she said. Tears ran down from 10 face.
A fall into a pit, a gain in my wit. The experience teaches me not to be too proud.
