Dear Jenny, To make friends, you must first be friendly. You can smile. You can pay your classmates a compliment (称赞). Say something nice about their dressing styles or skills. Second, ask a question to start chatting. Find out what interests them and talk about that, even if it doesn't interest you a lot. The conversation is more important than the topic.
