Once, there were two men who lived in the same village. They grew the same plants(植物) in their own(自己的) farm. One man called John was hard-working(勤奋的) and looked after his plants every day. The other man, named Steve, didn't do too much. He just let her plants grow freely.
One evening, there was a heavy rain. It destroyed many of the plants. The next morning, when John woke up, he found that all of his plants fell down(倒下) because of the rain. However, when he got to Steve's farm, he saw that all of the plants were still standing in the farm. Steve's plants lived through the rain!
How did this happen? The plants of the relaxed man learned to do things on their own from the very beginning. They grew deeper roots and made places for themselves in the soil. They could stand up strong on their own, even in a heavy rain. But since John did everything for his plants, they never learned to live through any difficulties.
It is the same for us. One day, you'll have to do everything on your own. If you just let others do everything for you, you'll never learn to do things on our own.
